Arrival Story:
Joan was the daughter of Indie, sister of Roger, Janis, Jimmy, and Lenon. She was spunky, lovable...perhaps the most affectionate feline I've ever met. She was taken from me early in the afternoon yesterday, August 24th, by a speeding car. We all make mistakes, and she was mistakenly let outside. She will be missed in the family every day of our lives. We will honor her memory. Let It Be.

Honoring our Dearest Joan

August 26th 2008 2:01 pm   [link to this entry]

I miss you so much my baby Joan. Not a day will go by that I won't look for you in the stars, moon, rain, and sky. You are now the stars, moon, rain, and beautiful blue sky. I gave you more love than I've ever had the courage to give any human, and you returned it with so much more. You taught me to love, feel, and care, unconditionally, and for that I hold you in the highest regards of any feline I've ever had the pleasure to see born and live. You were the smallest of your brothers and sisters, but you had the strongest spirit and will to live. You gave us all hope that if even the smallest little thing could strive, maybe we too could do our best in this harsh world to be good, strong people. Your siblings look for you in all of your favorite places, they cry for you at night and sing for you in the day. We buried you by your favorite tree, the last place I saw you that day. You were running and rolling, living free, the way you always wanted. And now you are free, free to fly. Fly high my baby Joan.
