Arrival Story:
When I lived in Orlando, I used to go to this place called Will's Pub sometimes. There used to be a motel next to the bar and there was a black cat that lived there. The motel closed down and the cat was left behind. I used to leave food for him and that's when I met little Butter who was probably only a few months old at the time. He was skinny and wouldn't let me near him but would follow me around at a distance. I took in the black cat to try to foster him until a home could be found (he was sooooo sweet) but continued to go and feed the little orange kitty (Speedbump turned me into a real sucker for cats and, before you knew it I was "crazy cat lady" feeding every stray in sight and volunteering everywhere - that mean little kitty ruined my life!) Anyway, Shadow, the black kitty abandoned at the motel, ended up having what vets believe to be FIP and he got sick very fast and ended up passing away (I miss him and became very close to him even though he only lived with me for a month and a half.) I continued to feed PutPut and, one day, I touched him while he was eating (before he noticed how close I had gotten to him.) You could almost see the light bulb go on above his head - as if to say, "hey, that felt kinda good!" Next thing you know, he wanted to be pet all the time and would run up to me when I showed up with the food. He got to where he would jump in my car or try to follow me home so I decided I might as well let him since I already had SpeedBump, TreadMark and seven geckos living in my 600 square foot house on a "no pet" lease. What harm would one more do?

PutPut is so pretty. When I took him to the vet no one could believe he was a stray kitten that was so skinny he was fighting with a couple other homeless cats over a bit of dirty, moldy food. Poor baby! He loves love. I don't know if he was a kitten that was abandoned or if he was just born from a pretty tame stray. He doesn't have as much of the true feral personality as my other two furbabies do. He wants to be everybody's buddy. He's a good kitty - very confident in himself. I love him very much!

My turn to correct the "Olympic Tag" meowmie mess-up!

(*See my brother's diaries for a more detailed explanation*)

1. What is your favorite Olympic sport?
Kissing! That's an Olympic sport, isn't it? No?! How about cuddling?!

2. Do you prefer the summer or winter Olympics?
Summer, of course! It's warm! And it's the season of fun and sunshine!

3. What is the quirkiest thing that you do?
I flop over on my side so meowmie or grandma can give me little kisses on my neck. Hehe! They tickle!

4. Do you have a crush on another kitty out there and if so who?
Yup, lots of 'um! Too many to list! After all, I'm a lover - can't narrow down all that love to just one other kitty!

5. What's your favorite rosie or zealie and why?
Can't you guess? The heart! Wanna know why?! LOVE!!!

Since we didn't start playing until after the Olympics were over (what a faux "paw"), we are not going to "tag" anyone. Instead, my meowmie decided we should give gift collars to the kitties we would have tagged, to keep up the spirit.

The 5 kitties I’m sending gift collars to are:

Daphne 854187
Greyson 343870
Asland 744456
Gizmo 787774
Kay 854394

My meowmie will try to stay on top of things better from now on. Sorry again, to Whisper and all the other kitties who were "tagging" for the Olympic Games. She feels really bad she broke the "chain".

I'm a Daily Diary Pick!? Purrs and Kisses to Everyone!!!

I am so happy today! Meowmie just told me I am one of Catsters daily diary picks! To think that people may be reading what I've written - all about my life - typed by my own two paws (no, not really! I just dictate with chirps and mews.) Anyway, my older brother SpeedBump is so jealous! He thinks he's the "cat's meow" (*snicker*) But my other brother, TreadMark, is very happy for me. And he's happy that it's not him 'cause he hates attention (big scaredy!)
I would like to thank everyone at Catster who made this possible! I would also like to thank my friend, Alfie, for giving me "congrats". My friends are the bestest!
On a more serious note, trouble may be brewin' in the Atlantic. My fur is barely dry from Fay and I still haven't learned to swim! Meowmie hopes to have us up to Atlanta by October (lots of good that will do us until then, silly Meowmie!) Meowmie and Greg are buying a house. Grandma says that will make her really happy, too, 'cause she's sick of us "destroying" her home. Oh, grandma! It's not "destroying"! It's "playing" and it's FUN! Relax, grandma, live a little - while you're at it - come here and give me some kisses!!! After all, I'm one of Catster's Diary Picks of the day - isn't that worth a little extra lovin'?!

Is there a stroke called the "Kitty Paddle"?

If I was in the Olympics I would get a gold medal in the kissing competition. NOT in swimming. I'm a lover, not a swimmer! I hope it doesn't keep raining 'cause I might drown. What's the deal, anyway? Stupid Fay. I'm going to go complain to grandma (maybe she'll feel bad for me and give me some kisses!)
