Arrival Story:
TreadMark was found in the middle of Malabar Road in Palm Bay, Florida, two days after Hurricane Jeanne. My mom and I were driving to her business (she owns a dog grooming shop) and I saw this tiny little black thing in the center lane. It was earlier in the morning and traffic was pretty heavy so you could tell the poor little thing was terrorized. I flipped the car around and by the time I got back, a nice police man had stopped as well. The little kitten had climbed up into his wheel well and we couldn't coax him down. The cop got on his knees and crawled under the car to grab him. After that, he handed the cat to me. I tried to refuse as I was living in Orlando on a "no pet" lease and it was hard enough trying to hide SpeedBump. But, the cop said, "well, I guess he just adopted you." What could I do? I wish I had gotten his name so I could send a card to thank him. So, "Here's to you!" Mr. Unknown Policeman. Thanks for helping bring my second baby into my life!

Bio:
After I got TreadMark I took him to my mom's shop for a bath and then to the vet. The vet said he was about 9 weeks old and probably a feral (he was and still is one of the biggest "scaredy cats" ever.) He had a cold or something so he had to take pills for a while and SpeedBump picked on him so badly for about the first year of his life. But he's the sweetest little guy ever - if he knows you and will come out for you to see him. He's a pretty small kitty and really soft. I love my little biscuit maker!

Today is my gramma's birfday! She's the bestest gramma! She's been watchin' me and my brothers (and protectin' us from monsters) while my meowmie and my new adopted daddy are buying a house in Georgia. I've been told they are closing on the 26th (that's real soon, ain't it?) Anyway, until then we are staying with gramma here in Florida. Gramma's the best (even though she's a dog person - YIKES! Dogs are real close to monsters!) Like I said, it's our gramma's birfday. Happy Birfday, gramma!!! We wuv you very, very much!

If you've read my brother 'bump's diary then you know how my meowmie messed up the "Olympic Tag" game. To try to make up for it, here are the answers to my questions and the five kitties I would have tagged (I sent a gift collar to them instead) if my meowmie wouldn't have ruined everything!

1. What is your favorite Olympic sport?
Hide and Seek (I like the hiding part bestest!) I know that's not in the Olympics - but it should be!

2. Do you prefer the summer or winter Olympics?
Winter - it gives me an excuse to crawl under covers cuz it's cold (best of all, monsters can't find you under covers!)

3. What is the quirkiest thing that you do?
I can make myself invisible by staying totally still! Meowmie's thought I've escaped from the house before - that's how good I am at not being seen!

4. Do you have a crush on another kitty out there and if so who?
Melody. She's so purrity.

5. What's your favorite rosie or zealie and why?
The diamond. It looks like it's shiney!

The 5 kitties I’m sending gift collars to are:

Melody 539852
Tux 826940
Alexis 199481
Bob 853989
and
Pickle 117868

And Meowmie says, "sorry" for the confusion.

Take care little kitties - I gotta go hide!!!

It was a dark and stormy night...

'Member how I'm scared of monsters? Last night I met one and it's name was Fay! Meowmie called grandma and grandma told her all about how windy and rainy it was. I was soooooo skeerd!!! How do you hide from a monster when it's all around the house? Meowmia has told me that I was found two days after a hurricane. I hate the wet! Meowmie's going to take us to Georgia, soon. You know what that means? No more tropical storms!!! Bad part is, I'm sure there will still be some kind of monsters (they're everywhere!) I'm going to go devise some more "monster hiding" skills! I'll keep you posted. Until then, be good - and be very, very careful!
