Arrival Story:
I used to live in a small rural town outside of Cedar City, Utah. There were a lot of abandoned animals and I fed some of the strays. There was this skiddish cat that kept coming around but would never let me get to close. It took months for me to even be able to touch/pet him. He looked so pityful, always a scrape, bite marks, fur missing. It was so sad. Winter was coming so my husband built an insulated house on our porch for him. I had tried to bring him in a couple of times, but he would have none of that. He disappeared a couple of times for days and that's when I knew something had to be done.

In the months that followed Leo built trust in me so that I could finally pick him up (for short periods) and he would give me headbutts each morning when I came out to feed him. I had fallen in love with this scruffy semi feral/abandoned cat. I finally got him neutered and vaxed ( that's a story in itself) and before we moved I made sure he came with us. He's adapted better than I thought he would to becoming an indoor only cat. It's also taken a lot of patience for Casey and Grace to adjust to him. He's a fighter since that's the only way he had to survive in the world, and he's learning that he doesn't have to do that here. So there are days when breaking up a fight with Casey is never ending, but we're adjusting. He's also the first cat that I've owned that is the bestest headbutter in the world, bar none. He's added a lot of sunshine into our lives and proves to us everyday that love can do miracles. He's a blessing to our whole family. It's been months since I've moved and I still cry for the other strays in that small community that I had to leave behind, it breaks my heart and I know winter is just around the corner. PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS!!

Hi Everyone:

First, I wanted to thank everyone that wished and visited my page for my birthday, my heart feels like it is twice the normal size as I am so very, very touched by your kindness. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem as I went to read the messages and send thank you's and I can't even get the rosettes to open. It will take Mom a few days to thank all of you but we will get there. Also wishing everyone a very safe and Happy Memorial day week-end with an extra day with your families!

Cat of the Day!!!

Mom didn't check Catster or even turn on the computer before she left for work this morning. Dad had to call her at work and tell her that there was an email from "something call Catster" that I was Cat of the Day! I wanted to thank Catster HQ and all my furfriends for their dear pawmails and gifts, Mom has to work late tonight, but will answer everyone in a day or two.

On a sadder note yesterday the Rainbow Bridge gained two angels that were very special to us personally. Please visit their pages and leave a note to let their families know we care here at Catster. Hazel Lucy was an inspiration to all of us and leaves a legacy of love. Her Catster number is #64639. Marrakech was a beautiful cat and will be dearly missed. Her Catster number is #915401.

I can't think of a better holiday to be COTD than on St. Paddy's day, I must have the luck of the Irish behind me today(giggles). I'll go have a sip of green beer with Dad and play, sleep and eat the day away, ENJOY!!

Hi Everyone:

Boy was I surprised this morning, Mom got up and went to check the e-mail and was so surprised to see I was picked DDP ( she has got to quite screaming and jumping around, it is so embarrassing). Thank you so much Catster HQ and Diary Gal, I am honored and touched that you chose my diary today. I also want to say a big congratulations to the other kitties that were picked today too. The beautiful Cassidy, the handsome Sir Sonny Bono and Soc. And a big congratulations to the lovey Chelsea Louise for being chosen Diary of the Day. I hope you're all getting extra loving, cuddles and treats on your honor today.

A big thank you as well to Sausage and Meatball for the watermelon rosette it was yummy. To Cassidy for the t-bone steak rosette I grilled that puppy and it melted in my mouth. And Miss Goldie, Callie Rose, TomTom and Handsome Paws the grape drink rosette went great with the steak and watermelon, thank you so much. I hope everyone has a great week-end, Enjoy!!!

Hugs & Sandpaper Kisses,
