After conquering all odds for 18 months in congestive heart failure, Hudson left us at 9:15 this morning. I don't think there has been another cat more loved and adored than my bubbers. I promised him Jan would be taking care of him until we're together again. He will be missed more than words can say. Godspeed my love...

Huddy continues to bless us with his presence. He has lost weight in the past couple of months, but he continues to eat and be happy. Hallelujah!

New Year's Eve marked Hudson's 1 year anniversary when he went into heart failure. That 2 month time frame we were given by his cardiologist has last ed1 year so far!

I feel so blessed to have all this time with him. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes!

I'm doing GREAT!!! Mom & Dad bought a new house, so I've enjoyed exploring my new digs. I miss the stairs, but Mom says she does NOT. I have a nice tiled hallway with skylights.... NICE sunbathing each afternoon.

Please keep all those wonderful prayers coming.... they WORK!!!

4/12/07:

I'm doing GREAT! Mommy couldn't be happier.

Our new baby arrived last week and we're already best buds. We love to weave around Mommy's legs together with Ella. Mom is hoping many of my characteristics will rub off on the new little guy. Just this morning, Mom was telling me that if I looked up "perfection" in the dictionary I'd see my picture. Duh!

Please keep those wonderful prayers coming. Something is working because I'm feeling great and loving every minute of it!

3/14/07-

I went to see Dr. Locke (my cardiologist) yesterday for a check-up. So many nice people have sent emails, and many have questioned exactly what my heart condition is. Mommy made sure to ask this time for all of you. I have severe restrictive cardiomyopathy. Everyone at the clinic was so happy to see my and I received tons of hugs and kisses. Dr. Locke said everything looks about the same and to keep taking my meds as prescribed. Mommy is just so relieved I feel good and we have time together. Keep those wonderful well wishes coming.... they're working! :)

Hudson was given 2-6 months the last time I posted.

I'm happy to say he's doing GREAT! He is such a trooper and takes all his meds like a champ. I hope I can continue to post wonderful updates like this more often.

He is playing, mommy luvin, and eating like it's going out of style.

Thank you to EVERYONE for the warmest emails/wishes, etc... you are all simply amazing!

I am thankful for every single day I have with this love of mine.

Always,
Christy & Hudson

I began breathing heavily New Year's Eve. After seeing a cardiologist and getting an ultrasound, I have been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

I have been told I have 2-6 months at best. My Mommy is devastated... she lives for me. She's trying not to cry in front of me, but I know she's hurting so much.

Please send all your prayers and well wishes my way.

No Teeth!

I had all my teeth removed Friday, 7/21/06. It turns out all that my bad breath and chronic infections were due to a condition called stomatitis. Mommy joined a yahoo group dedicated to orientals, and after many years of worrying about my mouth, she got tons of great advice and finally found out what was wrong with me. She was VERY scared to hear taking all my teeth out was what would help me the most, but I am already feeling so much better. She cried and cried when I came home from the vet with my oozing and swollen mouth :(

Well, fortunately I am feeling so much better already, and you know what this means? Stinky wet food whenever I want!
