   Leave a treat for Figaro

Figgy, Figster, Fat Belly, Softy, Curly Belly Man, Curly Pants

Quick Bio:
-cat rescue

Being petted on his curly white belly and being brushed.

Getting his nails trimmed.

Favorite Toy:
His little kitten friend "Spanky" and his "girlfriend"- the Cat In The Hat Slipper.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Sunny Bedroom or Cold Feet.

Favorite Food:
Whatever is leftover from the other cats. Sloppy seconds.

Figaro's special skill is his tolerance and patience...even when other younger cats boss him around. Oh, and he is GREAT at keeping our feet warm at night!

Arrival Story:
Figgy was a "shop" of a large litter of strays. My husband brought him home and he was so little that he would curl up under my chin at night while we slept. Sometimes on a cold night he will try to sleep on my head.

One time when Figaro was about two, he "jumped" (or fell???-we'll never know) down a seven story air vent. He was without a scratch! They say that a long fall is better than a short fall for cats, and we believe it. Figaro would follow me anywhere, even if I jumped off a cliff stories high! (Don't worry, I won't!)

A Poem For My Dear Departed Friends, Mimi and Minute

Goodbye My Good Friends!

We said goodbye to our friend yesterday
the same as we had to his wife
it makes us cry to let them go
though we know we should celebrate life

We saw some times that were happy and good
and we shared some days that were bad
we said good bye to a boy yesterday
who was as good a friend as we’ve had

Mimi’s a girl who we all love so much
and she always knew that was so
she was pretty and clever and loving and tough
just like a girl that I know

Her boy was Orange and he loved her so much
she knew he couldn’t leave her behind
So she went ahead for to show him the way
and she was never far from his mind

Saying goodbye is a hard thing to do
when there is so much love in your life
we said goodbye to our good friend Minute
and to Mimi his beautiful wife
