Trys to keep in touch went you cans. We hopes you has a Happy Holiday and lots of job offers. Unemployeement does help some. Been there ... done that... We are so sorry to hear this. We were purring and purring for you. We now turn those purrs that something good will come your way, a better job or call back from being laid off. Awww Blizzards Daddy that is too bad. They don't know what they are missing. As a former library cat, don't forget that libraries offer free internet, so you can send out resumes and stay in touch with us too. Big hugs from us. Purring for a new and BETTER job for your daddy! so sorry to hear this news. thank mew all. i'm kinda sore at him, though. he says catmus has been cancelled. DADDY!!! Santa won't forget you, Blizzard. He won't pass your family by, I'm sure of it. We're so sorry to hear the sad news. Hoping that your Dad is able to find a new job. Sending big hugs and purrs in the meantime. You are all in our purrayers - we love you dearly!! We'd never bet against your daddy, either!! He will come up with something and in the meantime, Catmus will come!! Just trust. We ALL have it pretty good compared to many, many others! Luv, Tink & Snow Awww Blizz, this just sucks and is so unfair!! :( I'm so sorry. Me and mom are sending giant, huge purrs your way. If there's anyway we can help, please don't hesitate to ask! daddy says bless you all, for your kind words. he's worried, 50 yrs old, hard to start over. and 0 chance they will hire him at a later date, according to their HR dept. :( I know your Dad will get another job quickly. There's tons of porta potties out there! I'll keep my motor on and the purrs coming. Yeah isn't there other of the same kind of companies out there? would you be willing to move if you could find another job? Do you have a commerical driver's license? Maybe you can find something related, deliveries or other transport services. Don't worry too much about your age. An employer would be more intersted in your work history and seeing that you can hold a job. Our place was ready to hire a young person the other day and they didn't even show up on their first day, didn't call or anything. I know it isn't always the case, but, sad to say, we have seen young people do this more and more often. mol Skylar. Daddy's outlasted many that came to work there. some he trained, worked 6 months, quit Not daddy. was there til the end and yes, there are a lot of companies out there, but winter is a bad time for port a pots...very slow We send you our thoughts & purrs. Blizzard, don't worry Catmas is about being with your family - and you got a good Daddy that loves you - that is the bestest of all. We send you all our biggest purrs and wishes that this will be a temporary setback. In the meantime we are rooting for you! OH Blizz, mommy cryin' 'gain, sorry! We're here fur U 'n ur furmilies. U know we r~! Always. Good Blessings 'n may da next month find U all more pawsitive~! One door closes, a new door opens...oh HUGS TO U~ Purrs on, MILO 'n furmilies We'll be adding our purrs to the mix, too, Blizz. I believe Skylar has a good point, and your work history will be the best reference you could have. OMC! There is so much of this going on around the country. We will add our prayers to the others. for a new job. hang in there,precious/mazy Your Daddy is not old. He's barely out of his 40s. Also it's discrimination for an employer not to consider older applicants too. I totally agree with Skylar. Many companies know that older people are more experienced and reliable. We're purring and praying for your Dad. We're very sorry about what happened. But hiring is up and the economy is getting better (slowly). Your Dad have experience training people and that can be helpful in finding a new job. It stinks they laid him off on a Friday but companies like to improve their quarter numbers even at the cost of long term profits. So your Dad needs to do a wide search for anything he might be good for. I'm sure he has lots of skills that can translate to new positions. Just tell him to start looking NOW. Not Monday, NOW. You want to get as many interviews as you can before Catmas starts messing up schedules and he can start the new year with a new job. Well we chatted earlier but I just wanted to say sorry again in your diary. Remember what I told you and listen to your friends here they all have very good advice. Keep your head up...this might just be the best thing that ever happened to you. You never know. Oh BLizz and dad, remember God opens a door when one window closes (maybe that is not exactly what it says) watch for that open door and be ready to walk on in to your best job ever. sending lots of love and prayers to all of you. your angel booboo and family Crum:( Well, meowmy did not work at a job...though raising kids is truly a job and a vocation...for over twenty years, and then after a short course she started a brand new job, just like that. She is several years older than your Daddy, and now is the longest working aide on her shift...after year and a half. We know your Daddy does 'portapotties', could your Daddy do some type of maintenance job until the potty season picks up? We are going to purr and pawyer furry hard to help this have a happy ending. Pipo & Minko Sending your daddy purrs. Hope he finds a new job. This be sooo terrible for your dad. And at such a bad time of year. Our dad lost his job when he was 52 and he started his own business. Then he got hired by Lowes when he was 58. There are places on the internet to help peeplz find jobs (careerbuilders.com) and some that help them even think about a different kind of job that they'd be good at with things they know how to do. We be purring and prayin' that something comes that is not just a job, but something he love to do! So much love goin' out to yer Dad makes my heart happy : ) He might apply with the City where you live. If they have city parks with events the City has maintenance people who set up the parks with amenities. Huggs and will keep purrin', Platelicker and... apply for unemployment benefits right away! No shame in that! Yer Dad has worked hard! Apply for other help too, food stamps, rent/mortgage assistance. These things are there when there is a time and need for them. When you go to Human Services or whatever State/Federal branch it is called in your State, remember... they won't offer you information... you tell them you want a list of every benefit/assistance program there is available. Oh my... Times are so hard we wonder how those tv peeple say things are better. We will all pray fur your Dad to get an even better job! Purrs of Love Timmy T and Family We are praying for you all, yes when one door closes another will open! Never give up there is something out there for your Dad.....Mom is so happy she is her own boss being a pet sitter may make her tired, but she continues to have work...so maybe your dad could do something with animals because he is a very loving person and cares... purr and love Zeke and family |
