Leave A Comment | 20 people already have You're a sweet and loving kitty Blizz. Bless you too. Thank mew, Alex It's supposed to be 36 degrees here tonight, our 3 outside friends(we don't call them strays anymore)have had dinner as usual, some treats,& we have 3 kitty beds that we don't use out on the patio. They don't much use them either, but they're there in case they get cold...... We help the ferals in our area best we can Blizzard. Thank you for thinking of those poor homeless kitties. dis bees why we LOVES Catster!! All the caring that happens here!! Bless you all Don't forget fresh water too! Sometimes it's hard to find water that isn't frozen! Take care Blizzard and family...and Happy New Year to you all! Thank mew, neighbor Kibbles. Daddy did forget to add da water Hi Bliz, Being a former outdoorscat myself, I know how important it is! If I didn't sleep in that abandoned car one winter, I wouldn't have made it probably! Mom and Dad put out food every morning for the guys in our area. We do need some help with getting them neutered. We're trying to work with a local rescue on it, but they havne't been the most helpful. We're hoping to find someone to help. Meanwhile, Mom and Dad do their best to put out a meal for them every morning, and it includes high quality dry food and usually what we don't eat and some friskies. We love you guys there...Power of the Paw Bliz. The Mama has been setting out food and fresh warm water multiple times a day since the ferals haven't been coming at the same times like they were when it was warmer. When she goes back to work on Weds, it will be back to twice a day and a warm soupy mix right at bedtime if there's anyone hanging around out there. Most are making their way in. The ferals can always count on you to remind the humans to feed them. You guys are very special. We will Bliz. Thank you for reminding us of the ferals. Nice tip on the box and clothing. XOXO Thank, Blizz! It got very cold here today. Mom made sure there was extra cat chow put out at the barn. In the winter we have lots of extra kitties that come and snuggle into the hay. And mom keeps soft cushions out on the back porch. Now that my brothers and sisters are inside kitties, the homeless kitties can come and camp on our porch to get out of the cold. Mom's neighbor also feeds about six homeless ones. Kitten food is supposed to have extra nutrients in it...that might be a good choice for ferals who have to make every mouthful count.... You're the best Blizz! Don't forget to tell your parents to hit the top of their hood each morning before they start the car. Sometimes cats climb up inside to get out of the cold. Fearlass, my mom did the warm soupy mix too. Some over kibble,a can of wet and hot water poured on top and mixed in. She served it 7 am everyday so we knew when to come. That way, we had a hot meal in our tummies and enough water too. After a while, I decided to adopt my mommy and moved in with my 5 kittens. It is so hard to be homeless in the winter. Specially if you have little ones to feed too. So true, Molly Angel! The late summer, early autumn kittens have it rough - it's hard to get a good enough start before the cold sets in. Some mothers abandon them, too, when this happens. It's how the pawrents got Sleeper and Samhain. I still don't know what this 'snow' stuff is cause I'm a CA boy, but we do get lots of rain eventually, and that's no fun. I hope all the strays can find nice warm safe places to stay and I'll do my part to make sure our nom noms bowls are always full! Hi BLizz honey you are sucha sweet luvin kitty and I know God will bless your daddy and all the humans that help take care of the ferals. We don't have any around us.... but of course we will do all we can too. Mom also has a heart for the homeless street kittes like all of us were before mom took us in. We want to save them all. Love ya honey. Mom is out there every day feeding "the minions" as The Dad calls them. There are 5, so we put out some dry & some Friskies wet along with warm water every morning. She also took an extra play tunnel that has that fur lining, and set it on some foam rubber & stuffed blankies in it & put a box over it - we have it tucked by the air conditioner & the screen porch. I feel so lucky to be able to sit in my warm home while they are cold. But mom says at least they have a pretty full tummy. And we sure wish we could rescue them all. Blizz good buddy, thanks fur da reminder, dood!~ I iz shur we all gonna bed down our patio's 'n safe 'n sheltered places fur our sweet ferals to get warm 'n cozy. We always keep's blankee's 'n food 'n fresh water's out there so any kitty 'round can catch a comfy nap or get him tummy's full. Dey come 'n dey go, but is out there, so we know dey will be's back.
