Arrival Story:
I was walking out of the shelter's adoption room with a beautiful little 10 week old tortie when Yogi jumps on my back, climbs onto my shoulders and lets me know that I have to take him, too. About 6 weeks older than his adoptive sister, he had a hazy discolored eye that the shelter said was permanently damaged At the vets, his eye infection was worse than I thought. Of a more serious nature, he had feline leukemia. He shouldn't have been put up for adoption, but Yogi somehow managed to slip through the cracks and we were to find each other.

Bio:
Almost lost him that first year. He looked at me once in a way that said "anything you want to do is ok." Amazingly, he rebounded and his health has been extremely good. He's still the highly curious, active kitten he was two and a half years ago, spending most of his waking hours jumping, climbing or pretending to be a little panther stalking his prey. Whenever he jumps, he lets out a tiny trill-like sound. His sister started to mimic him and now the latest addition to the family does it too. There's almost always a little touch of Yogi in the air. He never stops playing or exploring. It's as if he know he might have to cram his whole life into a couple of years and he's not going to miss anything. Everyday, he finds a way to remind me how precious time and life can be.
