Arrival Story:
I had just moved into my apartment in Singapore after a month and a half in a hotel. I NEEDED a cat to join me. A trip to the RSPCA found lots of adult, semi-socialized cats so I started checking the phone book. I ended up at a pet store to see if they knew where I could find a local kitten. In a cage was two six month old Burmese kittens, the lilac was already spoken for. I asked to hold the cream just to get a 'cat fix'. Timah started purring and nursing on my neck and ear. I was mush. There was no way I was leaving that store without him. I did leave but only for a couple hours as he received a bath. Timah was actually born in Australia and imported to Singapore by the lady that owned the pet store.

Timah was one of those special cats that loved everyone (human and feline) and everyone loved him. He thought the doorbell ringing meant someone was coming to see HIM. All the foster kittens that came through the house were loved by him and taught that humans were good. Maggie Sue, Ellie, Mei Lee and Johore all loved him. My bed was normally covered with a puddle of cats all surrounding Timah. We lost Timah on June 17th, 2004 after a 17 month battle with chronic renal failure. Life isn't the same for his feline siblings or human mom since he left. We miss his love, his calming presence and even his gnawing on shoe laces. May we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge...
