MOL Mom got us a nifty new playpen so we can go outside now and she doesn't have to worry about us. You should have seen the "Greeks" in it this morning. Rookie went ballistic and dragged the whole thing in the back door....poor Poppy just went along for the ride. MOL Mom has several "rescue wounds."

April 23, 2007.....This time I really did it and Mom was so mad she wouldn't even come out and look for me. Hmmmmph just because it was dark and I was hiding was not a good reason.
April 24, 2007.....Mom put up a wanted poster on the mail box and talked with the mailman, who knows what I look like and where I live. He said his cat stayed gone for four weeks. But if he saw me he'd stuff me in a sack and bring me home.
April 25, 2007...6 a.m. Well I guess Mom has been punished enough, besides I was getting pretty hungry (not to mention damp) so I meowed at the back door until she heard me and let me back in. Outside isn't that great. There's no food and it rained and my beautiful tail got messed up with twigs and leaves. Guess I'll stay inside for a while. Oh, yeah, all the other cats hissed at me when I came home.
My newest name is Sheethead......again. :-(

This time I really did it. I got out again and didn't come home until daylight when I got hungry.

Hmmmmm I have to give Mom credit for being creative. She has really made it impossible to make a break for it now. Back to the drawing board.

PASHA'S GREAT ADVENTURE

We got an invitation to a party yesterday and were really excited because we've never been to a party. We tried to make a run for it last night. This is the absolute truth! Paisey opened the screen door and we all split. Boy was Mom upset. She found Paisey right away cause she was just on the patio and then she found KhaiLei under the car and chased her back inside. Misha was a little more trouble, he headed for the bushes and had to be coaxed out and then....grabbed. He kicked and screamed all the way back to the house. But I was the worse offender. Oh boy, was I in deep doo doo. It took Mom two hours to catch me and then Dad messed up and accidently let me get outside again (he thought the screen door was in place, but it wasn't). Dad was in even deeper doo doo than me. I started getting cold around 5 a.m (I have my summer lion cut) and decided to go home but, the back door wasn't open anymore so I had to paw and scratch at the glass til Mom woke up and let me in.. she was on the couch in the den waiting for me. Let me tell you, I've never seen her behave that way, she was mad as a wet hen. She isn't talking to me or Dad....its been a very rough day, I don't much care for the silent treatment. Needless to say we are all grounded indefinitely. I bet it was a really swell party too. *sad sighs*

SOMETHING FUNNY IS GOING ON

I got up from my late evening nap and guess what!!!! Every dang last one of the treats I've been saving have gone missing. I smell a RAT! Heads will roll for this. I fear it will end badly for the culprit. I will get to the bottom of this if it takes all year. Sheeese what a way to start the new year.

NO TURKEY FOR ME

Last year I slept through Thanksgiving. This year I was awake but didn't get any turkey anyway. I have to eat a special food (I hate it) because I started throwing up when I ate anything else (chicken or the like) No hairballs...just yucky yellow stuff. Since I've been eating the special food I haven't thrown up ....not even once. Everyone else is mad at me because they hate the special food too but that's all they can have because I try to sneak in and eat their food. So now everyone gets green peas and venison.

YEAH, SO WHAT?

So you noticed I got a haircut....big deal! I can sit at the keyboard space now and not be pushed around cause now Mom can see the keys instead of my just my fur. And you should see my tail...it is glorious!!!! I have to admit its just a wee bit chilly, but that KhaiLei is such a pushy broad, just because she's a lady Sumo wrestle and I am many slim ranks above her, she thinks first in line is HER spot!...I have to shove my way to first place and I need really to be there because...I am seriously lacking fur!!!! Mom's desk top has got to be the warmest place in the house.... I NEED THE FIREPLACE and its in Mom's office. Weeping, weeping....and very sad too. :-) are you feeling really sorry for me now?

KITTEN, WHAT KITTEN?

Did someone say there was a kitten in the house? Must be on the main floor, because I haven't seen it up here in my territory. Will have to check it out, like maybe next week.

FAROUK IS GONE

That pretty much says it all. Farouk has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I hate cars and now I know why Mom has such a hissy fit when I manage to open the screen and escape outside. It will seem very strange without Farouk because he was here with Misha when I arrived as a little kitten. He taught me everything I know.
