Arrival Story:
Suleiman was found as a tiny feral kitten abandoned on a garbage dump in Greece along with another feral kitten (Farouk). They both had eye and ear infections, flea infestations and were seriously malnourished. They were nursed back to health and after a couple of months brought back to Kentucky. Zeus smiled the day we left Athens because our tickets were upgraded to Business Class and both kittens flew in the cabin.

I called him Suleiman the Magnificent because he needed a name to live up and he certainly did that. Suleiman had a very happy life filled with love for nearly two years but, Greek cats and American cars just don't mix. I feel so bad, because I let him down. He went to wait at the Rainbow Bridge March 12th, 2001. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and as I write this the tears start again. I miss him so much. He was a sweet, gentle, loving and undemanding little guy, appreciative of the good things that came his way. I was truly blessed when he came into my life and I'm grateful for even the short time we had together. Suleiman is survived by his fellow foundling Farouk and his uncles Misha and Pasha (indoor only). His ashes await the day we all go back to Greece forever and we keep flowers and a marker at his favorite spot in the yard. But the song on this page is for Mom, and we will meet again at the Bridge

Today we learned of Buddie and McKenna going to the Bridge. So many of our friends have gone this year and Momma cries over each and everyone of them. Just remember Momma, we are all waiting for our loved ones at the Bridge and one day we shall be together again.
Gentle, sad purrs of comfort from heaven.

Your baby Suleiman

Dear Momma,

I know you have been very sad since learning of Milo's passing and you are remembering me and feeling your loss again.

Just remember this always: just whisper my name in your heart,
I will be there.

I'll love you best, forever and always.
Saga Po Poli Momma,
Your Suleiman

Its getting closer to the anniversary of when I came to the Bridge. Just two weeks off. Mom keeps getting sadder and quieter everyday. She cries alot and when she looks at my pictures and reads the poems she cries because her heart is breaking, she still misses me so much. Please don't cry Momma, I'll be here waiting for you. I just came ahead to show you the way. I love you Momma.
