Today is my Purrday!

Today is my 7th Purrday. Daddy pointed out it has been almost 3 years since I last posted here. Sorry to have ignored my fans out there, I just sort of got lazy. Mom and Dad have removed all of the carpets from the house because I like to pee on carpet. Mom and I have worked out an agreement about litter boxes, she puts a towel in an empty litter box and I pee on that. Sometimes it takes several hints to remind her that it needs to be washed, but eventually she gets it done. This past winter Dad brought another dog into the house who makes my potty habits look good. This dog poops next to the litter box my brother likes and pees wherever he pleases. Now Dad says this dog has to go. Wait I think I hear Mom opening the treat jar!!! LATERS!!

I am so embarrassed!

My favorite baseball team in embarrassing me. The St. Louis Cardinals have really been playing bad. At the beginning of the season they started so well that Daddy and I got our hopes up about a playoff run this season, well they are not going to make it this year. The former closer whom I am named after, is out with injuries for the season and may possibly be done for his career. Needless to say I am bummed out. Wait I think I just heard Mommy with the treat jar, got to go look bummed so that she will give me extras. Later!

This morning Mom took the dogs away and she came back home without them. Then she gave us furry mice and a new ball to play with. I think something is up here! Wait Dad just put out the big bowl for cat food, that means they must be going away for a few days. I wonder who they got to come make sure we are doing surviving. I just heard Dad tell Mom that Uncle John, my Dad's boss is coming by. I hope he gives me extra Dental Diet, my favorite cat food in the whole world! Wait now I hear Mom with the treat jar! BYE!

Heat, heat, heat!

It sure has been hot outside for awhile now. Then of all times for this to happen the air conditioning unit went out on Friday here at the house. Stupid human repairman said that he could not get a part until Monday. So thankfully Mommy had all sorts of fans to turn on to help move the air around. Also the basement stayed sort of cool so that is where I spent the weekend, chilling out! Mommy did have a back up plan if it would have gotten too hot for us cats. See Mommy and Daddy are in the process of selling our old house so Mommy went there and turned on the air conditioning so it would be an instant cool down if we needed it. They say the sale will close this Friday so that means that maybe they will buy me extra cat treats to celebrate! Also a quick note, my new little sister has been introduced to cat treats so now it is one more mouth to share them with, bummer. Speaking of cat treats I think I just hear Mommy opening the cat treat jar! BYE!!

Kittens!

Mom brought home this Mama cat and kittens about 4 weeks ago saying that they would only be here for 4 weeks. Now her and Daddy are talking about keeping one because it is so cute. Hey I'm supposed to be the baby around here! I have two questions: First does it eat Dental Diet? Second does it eat cat treats? Mom says no to both for now, what does she mean for now? I got a funny feeling that I'm not gonna like this. But secretly I think it is funny looking without a tail, Mom says it was born that way. Mom says that the Mama is getting fixed next week and when she heals she will go up for adoption also. We are down to two kittens and Mom is trying to find a home for the one, I wish she would get rid of both, I like being the baby. Wait did I hear the cat treat jar? I better go make sure those kittens aren't getting any. BYE!!

Spring has sprung!

Another new spring means it is time for St. Louis Cardinals baseball!!! My team is off to a sl0w start, I guess there was too many distractions with getting the season off to a start by getting their World Series Championship Rings, and all the other ceremonies. Now the team is on the road and have their first win. So their is hope for them. Now about me! Mom and Dad moved us to a new house, again! After we moved they discovered how much I had been a bad boy by peeing outside of my litter box, so Mommy took me to see the vet to make sure it was not a health issue. The vet said it was all behavioral and gave Mommy some pills for me to take. I am doing a little better about it but I still have some work to do. Wait, was that the cat treat jar? BYE!!!!

On the road again!

I wish the humans in my life would find one place to live and stay there! Geez now they are talking about moving again. This time we are staying in the same town but they say it is a bigger house with a bigger yard for the lower life forms (dogs). I guess if it is a bigger house that means that I can have more space all to myself, as long as that space includes my favorite napping spot (Mommy's lap). Also moving into a new house means that there will be new places to explore and of course that also means that there will be boxes and packing material to play with. I hope Mommy remembers to pack the cat treat jar, how else will I know when she is giving them out while I am on the computer. Wait she just opened it...got to go BYE!

What a week!

We cats had a close call this week. See Mommy works as a substitute teacher and on Tuesday a stray puppy came onto the playground at the elementary school where she was working. The office staff there was going to call the pound to come get him and take him away, Mommy being an animal lover just could not let that happen so she brought him home. We cats did not like that puppy so we organized and protested about it by peeing on Mommy's side of the bed and in Daddy's office chair. Thank goodness it only took a day for Mommy and Daddy to find that puppy a new home! He was going to be a big dog and we already have to put up with 2 big dogs. I even protested by not eating, I do feel a little weak so perhaps I need to go eat my favorite cat food, I will meow at you later.

World Champions!!!!

Has this past week been one wild party. The St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series!!! YEAH! I was having fun teasing my sister Tigger because she was rooting for the Detroit Tigers. Boy did I ever rub it in. Mom and Dad were not home because they were in St. Louis for the week attending a conference for Dad's profession. I was jealous because they were near the stadium when the Cardinals won. Mom said it was just plain nuts people partying all over the place, what she did not know was the partying that was going on here. With the dogs at the kennel and us cats with the house to ourselves, except when Uncle Dodson came to feed us, well there was one heck of a party going on here. For some reason Tigger did not want to hear about the game. Now I just can't wait for spring training to start.

World Series Again!!!

I have had a busy baseball season, meowing so loud for the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals. Man was last night an exciting game! I was busy pacing while watching the game on TV. I love that Yadi hit that homer, he has been hot! It is just so sad that Big Izzy was not able to be part of this team. I was so depressed when they said his season was over and that he needed corrective surgery. Oh, well that is old news.

Now I am torn as to which way to root in the World Series, for my St. Louis Cardinals or for the Detroit Tigers, because afterall are'nt Tigers a cat? But after investing a whole season into the Cardinals I think my meow goes toward them.
