Chasing lizards... much to momma's chagrin!

Pet-Peeves:
Every cat's pet peeve... when my humans want to play or cuddle. Somehow they haven't figured out yet that I only play or cuddle when *I* want to!!

Favorite Toy:
My canine sister, Sophie. She acts as EXCELLENT substitute prey for stalking!

Favorite Nap Spot:
UGH... on the ledge at the top of the stairs. It's only 4 feet up on the landing side... but about 18 feet down on the other side!! Mom's going to be on anxiety pills soon... I can feel it!

Favorite Food:
I love my freeze-dried shrimp and my Whisker Lickin's... and it's an even better day when I manage to con mom out of some cheese or ham!

Skills:
Sleeping for hours on end, only to get up, move to another spot, and sleep for even MORE hours on end!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
We adopted Skye from the Bear Foundation, a local rescue organization working to reduce feral cat populations. Skye's feline mother was taken in from a trailer park to be spayed, but the vet immediately noticed she was producing milk. Volunteers headed back out to the trailer park to attempt to locate her litter. By the time the kittens were finally found, they had been alone for almost 48 hours and were in need of serious medical attention. Skye weighed only 11 oz. when we brought him home at 8 weeks. He initially refused to eat and dropped to 8 oz. before he decided he'd give food a try again! I was very scared we were going to lose him, but he pulled through and is a beautiful and loving cat. I can't imagine not having him with us. He's Sophie's playing pal (she's a Chihuahua, so he's only got a few pounds on her)... As a kitten he was convinced Casey was his momma (as a 70 lb. yellow lab she did the best she could to help me raise him), and Skye would lay beside Roxie, silently comforting her when she was sick. From a trailer park field, to the lap of luxury... this little guy ended up right where he belongs!
