Arrival Story:
Dad is going to Law school in Virginia and found me meowing one day outside where he is staying. He told mom that I had been abandoned. Since where he is living does not allow pets I am staying with a friend of his. I was suppose to become his friends cat but there was some concern on the dog that is there and I getting along and when dad found that his friend was trying to give me away he made a call to mom to see if she would warm up to the idea of having another mouth to feed.

I am going to travel to Seattle. I am not sure when. Dad may try to take me there so I can fly with him in a airplane. If that doesn't happen they are going to find a way to ship me to my new home soon. The lady that had me called me Stella. Mom told dad not to get his hopes up on my name staying that and he agreed (he said he was not fond of the name). So what do you think my name should be?? Some of the names that have been kicked around have been Mocha, Gemini, Nyoko, Autumn, Rain and Neko. I can't wait to meet my brothers Orca and Mr. Boots. I have been told they are really cool!

Boots is finally starting to come around and we have been chasing each other around playing more then fighting now. Of course he still complains from time to time. But mom says he has always been that way.

Orca on the other hand is another story now. He seems more annoyed with me than anything else. He doesn't hiss at me but gives me a meow that mom said is his "leave me alone meow" followed by a stern swat. Mom told me that he is being very nice to though because when he gives that kind of meow to the humans he does a lot more then swat if they do not leave alone.

But this is normally after I have tried to engage him in play or been playing with his tell. For now he hasn't wanted to play and likes to just observe me from a distance.

Mom says for now I should just stick with Boots and maybe I can burn some of that lard off him. She says this is the most she has seen him move in a year....:)

Didn't make a good first impression.

But I think I am going to like it here. Well I arrived at my new home in Bothell a little after one. They gave me some yummy kitten food and I was hungry since I hadn't eaten since yesterday. They had me isolated in the bathroom but Orca wanted to come in and investigate. The finally let him in and he was was trying to be super nice. But I didn't know him so I started hissing and spitting. He just kept chirping at me until I got into a denfensive stance and started hissing. That made him let out a very low scarey growl. They quickly took him out of the room at that point.

A short time later they let Boots come in. Both Boots and I had fits and it was hard to tell who was doing the hissing...:) The cat toy tried to pick him up to take him away and he hissed at her and acted like he was going to attack her. Lets just say that I don't think he likes the idea of having a little sister.

They then kept me in the bathroom for awhile but took my pillow that I traveled with out of the room and let orca and boots sniff it. I took a nap and felt a little better when I woke up. I will let Orca get close to me now without hissing too much. Boots will let me chase him but if we get too close then it is a hiss off. I think Boots is afraid that he is no longer second cat and doesn't seem to like that the human cat toy is paying attention to me. Now I know that Orca is the top cat and not someone to mess with. I got that with the growl. But Boots and I seem to be competing for that second place slot. I even chased him up the cat tree. I think that impressed Orca since I am only half the size of Boots and about 15 pounds lighter.

Well off to harass Boots...Catch you later.

I am meeting the rest of my forever family today

Well I am now becoming a traveler while I make my way to a place called SeaTac washington. Dad told me that SeaTac is short for Seattle Tacoma. I guess a few years ago they tried changing the name of the airport to honor someone. But everyone still called it SeaTac. Mom and Dad don't even remember what the name was changed to.

Anyways dad put me on a plane yesterday from Louieville Kentucky going to Cincinnati Ohio. From there I will be flying to SeaTac where my family will be picking me up this morning. Dad said that I was really good when he left me in Kentucky but that I had not had any food. So he told mom that I will probably be really hungry when I get there.

I can hardly wait to land in Seattle and meet the rest of my family!
