Anyone who dares to challenge my place at the top of the pecking order. Mom not at home at my beck and call 24/7.

Active Life Beef & Liver or Chicken Pate Fricassee, Azmira Ocean Fish or Lamb & Barley

Skills:
Can keep a household of up to 10 feral foster kittens in line, can you do that? I'm a great dancer too!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Mom: "My boyfriend persuaded me to look at a litter of kittens, even though I already had 5 cats waiting at home. I had my eye on an orange male, but then I picked up Hattie, and she snuggled close, began purring then went to sleep with her head on my shoulder. Needless to say I took her straight home. I am so grateful to have a friend like Hattie!"

Bio:
Mom: "Hatshepsut was Egypt's only female pharaoh. Hattie means 'ruler of the house.' Hattie is queen & ruler all right, and frankly, I'm perfectly content to be her loyal subject & humble servant. This girl makes me so happy. What can I say except she is my best buddy! 95% of the time, she is the friendliest, cuddliest, most relaxed and contented cat I know. The other 5% of the time she is completely bizarre! If you sniff the back of Hattie's neck, you'll find she has a natural amber perfume scent. When you're in bed, if you lift the blankets to make a cat-size canopy, Hattie will scoot under the covers and do a little dance! Like all my cats, she loves music. Her song is the 1960's Strangeloves' classic, 'I Want Candy,' but we sing it as 'I Want Hattie!' Hattie's idea of quality time is a daily half hour of getting her tummy rubbed, especially in the evening."

Mom has been sad the last few days...

I hope everyone on Catster will be patient with my Mom if she's slow to respond to emails & friend requests, and updating all our pages. A few days ago she found out that a cat she met at work who had boarded with her, and who she liked very much, named Alanis, passed away suddenly. Alanis had injured my Mom's left thumb slightly, taking a swipe at her one day when she was administering a natural kitty laxative. Mom was never mad about it, in fact, she would glance down at her discolored thumbnail and it always made her think of Alanis. She was very saddened to learn of Alanis' sudden crossing over to the Rainbow Bridge. She's been looking at Rainbow Bridge cats on Catster, and put most of the rest of the Rainbow Bridge cats in our family online too. Mom's OK, so we're not worried about her. She's just sad, and finds herself touching upon that well of grief that is always there once a close & beloved friend has passed on. She'll get back to updating everybody's pages real soon!

From cat pee wars to organic catnip buds

I'm a remarkably well-adjusted, laidback and generally happy cat. I've always been that way. I love my Mom, and I trust her implicitly to care for me to the best of her ability. I have no anxieties or anything like that. If another cat acts up around me I'll put them in their place with a minimum of drama. All things considered, I'm practically perfect in every way.

Except for one little thing.

The one thing I do is pee on things.

Lately I've been doing this more than just occasionally. There were some workmen in here a couple of weeks ago, and they complained about the smell.

My Mom's given up on using Nature's Miracle because it costs so much. Now she's using Simple Solution, and also pouring baking soda on the rug wherever I've peed, but the smell is still really bad. My Mom would appreciate feedback from anyone who knows an effective remedy to this kind of problem.

Onto a happier topic, Mom came home from the pet supply shop this afternoon with some pet grass for us - which I love - and a small bag of organic catnip buds! It really made my day! She tossed us each a bud, and we had a ball! And we have her at home with us. All in all, this is one of the better days I've had recently. Life is good!

what do you know! Now *I'M* a daily diary pick!

The funny thing about it is, I was just thinking about updating my diary! I decided not to till later, because Mom's in her Hello Kitty jammies & her Garfield slippers - which means bedtime is right around the corner. And what could be more important than cuddles? My brother Seti's already waiting for her on the bed. That's where I'm going to be too in a couple of minutes!

Mom worked a bit late tonight, and wasn't home until after 11:00PM. When she came in, she had a big bag of Solid Gold crunchies and a flat of Azmira Ocean Fish tins - THANKS Mom!

Thanks to you too Catster for making me a daily diary pick! I'm so thrilled, it really puts me in the mood to snuggle and sleep!
