Arrival Story:
I finally was ready to add to our family after our dear Smokey had passed on. I thought Miss Evil was lonely and needed a feline companion. My hairdresser told me about a litter of kittens in the paperback trading shop next to the beauty supply store. I went to look at them and saw 2 adorable orange marmalade tiger striped kittens. Copper has four white paws and a slight bit of white blaze on his chest. He was named after the hairdresser noted his fur is the same color as my hair. The name of the hair color she uses on me is called "Copper Penny". Since he needed a name, it seemed fitting to name him after a physical trait. I brought him home and made Benjamin very happy. He loves stuffed animals and to Ben it seemed to be a stuffed animal that ran on it's own. However, Miss Evil can not stand Copper. Can't blame her. She's 13 years old and is comparatively 75 human years old.

Bio:
Copper has been in our household for almost 2 years now. He is a very good hunter. He thinks he is wonderful for bringing in birds, lizards & mice and leaving the carcasses by my side of the bed so I step on them first thing in the morning when I get out of bed. I never hear him bring in the gifts. He thinks lizard tails & mouse brains are the greatest delicacies to eat. YUCK! He has learned that cats rule & dogs drool in our home. Copper is the dominant male. He makes our 75 lb dog wait for breakfast until he has had enough of the gravy from the dog food. Copper and Miss Evil have learned to get along and share food bowls and litter boxes. I love this cat so much! My life has been totally enriched by having him in it.

My Diary

Today's my Birthday!

Mama is so happy to have me in her life. She has made a tuna birthday cake for me to share with the family. Miss Evil and Ben both like eating tuna. I was very happy to share my treat with them.

For making my life so much better, I wanted to give Mama a present. She wasn't very happy with it however. I brought a pigeon in thru the pet door and killed it. Ben woke Mama & Dad up at 4 am while I was trying to take it's head off to make sure it was dead. I thought Mama didn't like live birds. I got my birthday spanking and it wasn't fun! Mama was not thrilled about all the feathers all over the livingroom and having to vacuum them up that early. I think I'll stop bringing in birds. I don't like the big blue vacuum!

It's nice to have a cozy bed to sleep in and family that loves me no matter what I do. Mama thinks it's sweet the way I suckle on her arm like a newborn kitty nursing. Ben likes playing with me. We play tag alot. I don't understand why he won't climb a tree with me to get the birds. He is a bird-dog afterall!

My life is good and I can't imagine it being any better. I love my family!
