It's been a while since I last updated my diary. Basically, the "babies" have grown up and we have gone our separate ways. I loved those little guys, but you know... Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree.

The human thinks that I would be a good "uncle" for new kittens, and have been talking about finding me a kitty friend to hang with. As much as I am good at looking after the little fuzzballs, I think I am really liking this bachelor lifestyle, being the only cat in the household.

Okay, so the kittens are growing and I have been busy teaching them the fundamentals on how to train the humans etc, one of them has to get a cut on his arm...

Before you know it, he's given the cone of shame to wear. His brother and I keep an eye on him, but anyhow, the humans have finally come to their senses and have taken that thing off.

Now my little student is ready to resume Bathing 101. Is there anyone to help me? :-/

Hey all. I am Dexter. I live with 2 other cats and 2 humans. I love to eat, watch animal programs on TV, sleeping, sunbathing... you know, I am a pretty normal cool cat, really.

My Big Sister, Chanel, left for the Bridge just over a year ago. When I first met her, she hissed at me. I was so scared and I didn't know what to do. So I sat inside the carrier and waited for her to perhaps change her mind one day....

Gradually she started to warm to me and sometimes she would groom me, but then she'd start a fight. As I got bigger, I started to overpower her, and she would run, and then the humans would stop us sparring. What no one knew then, was that my big sis was coming down with kidney failure, which was what eventually took her life.

The human is still missing her a lot, but now that I am King Of The House, she has to pay me attention, hahahahaha!!!!

Last year after Chanel had gone, I got kinda blue too. We sparred a lot but hey, she was my big sister. So when I realised that we won't see each other again for a long time, I felt sad and lost interest in most things. That was when the humans brought home the "babies" - 2 kittens who are from the same litter. One year on, here we are. We are the best of friends, we hang out, we play, we groom each other. The babies are so stupid that at meal times when I tell them to go find the human, they go, and I get to eat all their food too!! So now I can really throw my weight around! They don't stand a chance, really.

My name is Dexter, I am big, I am strong, and I am the king of the house!
