indoors Arrival Story: Daphne is a striking gray kitty in need of a quiet home and lots of TLC. Distinctive white markings set off her eyes and she whips her long, strong tail with attitude.
Her new family will need patience to earn her trust, as she was given up by her previous person and was very upset to find herself in a shelter. However, she has made great strides at her foster home. Initially, she was very nervous about being touched, and she growled a lot (that being one of her last defenses, as her front paws are declawed and she has only a few teeth), but now she allows petting on her head, neck and back, and she loves to be scratched under her chin! Daphne will eventually reward your patience with great displays of affection that include purring, kneading and head-butting. Bio: Daphne is an elegant, mature cat of 10 years. She would love nothing better than a home with a soft bed in a patch of sunlight. Although napping is her greatest talent, she is also quite good at pinning down wiggly shoelaces and ribbons. Daphne also likes playing in water, and regularly splashes in her drinking fountain and under the running bathroom faucet.
Daphne is a sweet and silly girl - still quite 'young at heart' - but her history and physiology make her wary of others and she is slow to warm up. Could yours be the safe, loving, sunny home she is waiting for?
