Arrival Story: Annadee is also a rescue from the Siamese Cat Rescue Center of Virginia. Hershey's page contains the first part of the story. I wanted two cats. The Director of the rescue said Annadee would get along well with Hershey, and I loved her lynxy ears. She didn't say anything for the whole ride home. When I let her out of the carrier, she went right over to my mom and rolled over on her back. My mom fell in love with her instantly. Annadee became her buddy.
Bio: Annadee was a stray cat in Washington, DC when she was brought into rescue. A good samaritan took her in. Although she was going on vacation, she hired a pet sitter to take care of Annadee until she came back and was able to get Annadee into rescue.
Annadee didn't meow for a long time. She would only make these funny 'grrr' noises, so I called her Growly Girl. One day, she was sitting on the table as I put cream in my coffee. I gave her a small amount. She loved it and was waiting the next morning. This went on for a few days until one day, she got impatient. It was not coffee time yet, and I was working at the sink. In my small space, the table was right behind me, and all of a sudden, I heard a loud 'meow'. I turned around and there was Annadee! She was looking for her cream and obviously didn't want to wait. Since then she has learned that meowing will at the very least get her attention, but I still call her Growly Girl.

The Last Forum I Posted In: Rosette Exchange!
Mom made me go to the vet yesterday. Me and Hershey. She came and got Hershey, and I heard her put him in the carrier so I tried to hide. She got me anyway.
Mom says there was a black spot on my chin that started out small and has been getting bigger. I can't see it. Anyway, she felt it, and it felt kind of like a scab, but it wasn't. Since it has been getting bigger, she said it was time to have it looked at. The vet said it's feline acne. Ew! Mom said Zachary had it at one time, but it was all over his chin. Mine is just one spot. The vet gave us special shampoo for it, but Mom hasn't tried it yet. That's gonna be a whole lot of fun. Not.
Then they poked and prodded me and cleaned my ears (because Rafiki is not doing a good enough job) and gave me a shot. Oh, and the vet said I have to watch my weight. I weigh more than Hershey now. So what? Oh, and I am supposed to have my teeth cleaned again. They just did it two years ago. Mom said we're waiting on that. Yeah!
Uh oh! I think Mommy is coming with the shampoo ...
Mom got up this morning and hopped in the shower per usual. I usually wait out in the hallway or under the bed for her to finish, and then she goes downstairs and serves up breakfast. This morning, Mom didn't find me in the hall, and when she went downstairs, she didn't find me either. She went to the basement and didn't find me there. She went back upstairs and started to call my name. I could tell she was starting to get worried, but I just watched her and didn't say anything. Finally, instead of looking around on the floor for me, she looked up. There I was - in the cat tree! And not just on one of the perches, but in the little pagoda hidey-hole! I have been here five years, and that is the first time she has ever seen me in the cat tree!
