Missy Parenting Tip 1: What's In A Name?

So while I was still pregnant daddy had a talk with me about names. He told me that he likes to name cats with names that rhyme with "kitty". It was certainly easier for me to learn my name that way. Missy sounded like kitty- for some reason that word and that sound is what we felines respond to when we are kittens.

When my kittens were born daddy started calling them by their names right away. Whenever he interacted he would use their names. When they opened their eyes it took only a couple of weeks for each to respond to his and her name.

I don't know if this has been scientifically proved but it has worked for daddy over the year so he suggest that if you are expecting a newborn try to give him or her a name that rhymes with kitty and they may learn their names as fast as my kittens did.
