I've gone Batty!

Last night my baby sister, Memo and I found a bat in our house! Mom was asleep, she says it was 2am. We chased it into her room where she and Butter were asleep in bed. We ran up over them, that work mom up, she turned on the lights and we chased the bat back out to the living room. Sneeky thing, with its wings, it flew up to the highest, farthest point of the ceiling and sat there on the wall. Mom didnt know what Memo and I were chasing, so I showed her, but with dad not at home that night, she didnt know what to do. She said she was going to get the ladder, but then she said there was a bees nest in it. So I showed her a good spot to climb up, she stood on the cabinet and I helped, I waited eagerly on the speakers and watched. Mom caught it in a glass and brought it down. She showed it to us in the glass, she said since we were the ones who found it, we could see. It was very frantic and noisy in the glass. Mom took it outside then, and let it go. She said Im not only a good little mouser, but now Im a bat hunter too.

post spay update

im home and feelin fine! mom brought me home saturday, i was glad to be home but i didnt feel up to doing anything. i made sure it was my house, and i went to sleep on mom and dads bed.

even yesterday i was still a little under the weather. my belly feels funny with these staples in there. mom says if im good she will take them out on the 10th day. but if i dont relax i have to wait the full 14 days

its hard though. i feel fine today. i was playing with butter and mom told me to stop. and i got my ball out but uncle jer said i had to wait a couple days. and when i climbed up the window to hide under the curtains dad told mom and they got me down.

thanks to those who gave me rosettes and nice letters, they were nice to come home to.

spay day

clovers mom here, posting to let all her fur-riends know that her surgery went well today and she is resting at the hospital. her dad and i thought very carefully about whether or not to bring her home tonight, but with her recent wall climbing and high jumps for the plants, we thought it would be best if she stay confined and safe.

she will be home tomorrow, and we cant wait to have her back. i miss her terribly now, and althought i was with her for her surgery and while she woke up, im still so worried for her.

it will be hard keeping her calm for two weeks, no fetch, no laser pointer, no showers. clover loves to shower with us.

but whats important is that all went well and she will be home tomorrow :) we cant wait.

im 6 months old now

this past saturday i officially turned six months old. mom keeps saying i can go into heat any day. i dont know what shes talking about... but im not in "heat".

mom tells me that that on friday i am going to work with her to be spayed. she told me what that means and i am scared, but a the same time i know it will be ok because mom will be with me the whole time, and people i have known since i was just one day old.

mom says that will be the saddest day ever. i will have to stay at the hospital overnight, but the part mom and dad are most worried about is keeping me relaxed and calm for twoweeks untill the staples come out after surgery. ive discovered recently that my claws can take me up the wall, and i see things on shelves that i want... so i climb the walls.

ill tell you the part im most worried about... that 'no food or water after midnight the night before surgery'. what is that? ill be hungry! also, my belly hair. it will be shaved, i like my belly hair! mom says it will grow back in no time though. still...

well, wish me luck. itll be a big day. ill be sure to post updates.
