Getting attention, purring, belly rubs and scratches; I'm a bit of an attention hog. I like Marvin & Milo and desperately want their affection. I also like to follow my new Mommy around EVERYWHERE closely, and have already almost tripped her a few times!
Pet-Peeves:
I don't have any, I'm very carefree! Although Mom wonders why I don't get frustrated with Marvie & Milo constantly rejecting my attempts to cuddle. I guess I'm just optimistic and keep trying!
Favorite Toy:
Springies, springies, springies, I love my springies. I bat them around, I carry them around, I take them to the top of the stairs and chase them as they fall down! I also like the string with rattle balls on it that Alfie & Teddy gave to my brothers.
Favorite Nap Spot:
I hang out on the ledge by the bathtub while Mom is in the shower. I also like the sill of the sliding door and any tiled floor.
Favorite Food:
I am a bit of a piggy, I REALLY like wet food and I REALLY, REALLY like yogurt. In the morning I get so excited when Mom is going to put it out I cry and try to rub all over Marvie & Milo, which annoys them.

Arrival Story:
My new Mommy had been looking for a lapcat to complete her family for quite some time; she has been missing Kitty ever since he passed away a few years ago. Her many attempts had failed and she was discouraged, and then she saw me on the AislingRags website. She thought I was too good to be true. I was a young lady of 10 months, pretty as can be and with description saying how incredibly sweet and loving I was. I was supposed to have stayed at the breeders and have my own kittens like the other ladies there but I got pyometra and had to have an emergency spay before my career even started.... it seems I was destined for the leisurely pet lifestyle instead. After a few chats with the breeder my new Mommy knew I was the one, and 2 weeks later she was on her way from Canada with her sister to pick me up in New York State. It has been a whirlwind the last couple of days, but I am settling in to my new family and looking forward to all the love, attention and ascending my throne to be Queen of the House!

My Personal Obsession:
I love springies! My springies springies springies! I pretty much think about them all day and all night. Mom has dozens of them for me and is constantly scooping them out from under the furniture for me to play with. I chase them in the kitchen, I take them to the top of the stairs and let the fall down and go after them, I bat them around the bedroom and I love playing with them in the bathtub. They flip and bounce and roll around.... there is nothing I don't like about them!

Well apparently there is some hope for me and Miss Manners paid me a little visit. My newest quirk has come to life and it is a very polite one. My Daddy has had a cold for the last few weeks and has been sneezing alot. As he was sneezing more and more he noticed something. Every time he sneezes I say "bless you", but in cat language of course.
Daddy: Achoo
Minka: Merow
Daddy: Achoo!
Minka: Merah
It doesn't matter if I am beside him, across the room or sleeping, its the same thing...
Daddy: Achoo
Minka: Ma!
The humans are very entertained by this, but I say it's only polite.

I am told that my manners are appalling.... strange... it has never occurred to me. Mom says case in point! I think I will object to this accusation, I am still young you know. You can't expect me to become a cultured lady overnight. In the meantime here are the top five reasons I need a little visit from Miss Manners
1. When it is time for food, I barge through Marvie & Milo, and gobble it down. I have be known to actually put my paw on their face push them out of the way.
2. I'm always taking toys from Milo and Marvie. If it looks like they're having fun with it, then I want to be the one having fun, not them. It takes me all of about one minute flat to scoop up and hoard all three catnip bananas when Mom puts them out for us.
3. I'm a jealous kitty. Whenever anyone else is getting attention, I decide I want it more. I rush in and not so subtly take their spot.
4. I always take the shortest distance between point A and point B. It does not matter if I have to push Milo off the window sill to achieve this or step on Marvie's head.
5. I have no respect for personal space. I force my affections on my brothers. Who wouldn't want to share a sleepy spot sized for one with their favorite sister?

I am so easy going Mom didn't know if I would ever have a pet peeve. Well now the cat is out of the bag - so to speak.
For I while Mom has noticed that I love water and hang around the sink, but when it came time for her to brush her teeth I would be no where to be found. Strange, she thought, Minka must have important kitty things to do at those times.
Then the other day, she brushed her teeth and then picked me up. She blew in my face, since she knows I like that (under normal circumstances!). Well I finally had to tell her, I couldn't keep it in anymore. I squinted my eyes, scrunched up my face, turned my head and let out a MER-AH! How repulsive - MINT! I made Mom put me down and I gave the ol' "I'm totally disgusted" paw flick. I don't understand the humans. They have a choice! They should be brushing their teeth with tuna juice and yogurt paste, what's with the mint?
