We Want To Apologize...

To all our furriends who got cards & packages returned to them, we are so very sorry. When we opened the po box the lady gave us the VERY wrong zip code and we just found out a few days ago. Meowmy tried to get them to put a hold on our mail in Radium Springs (where everything went) but we think we found out to late. We are soooo, soooo very sorry that mew's wasted money on us :( PLEASE, PLEASE, know it was a post office error and not intentional. We are heartbroken over it :*(

As I sit here on my beautiful pink Hazel Lucy Blankie that you sent me when I was sick, I feel all over the love you sent to me with it even tho you were so very sick yourself. You were a BRAVE kitty, and so very courageous, and you have been and always will be an inspiration to me. Such a strong little mancat you were *paws at her tears*. I want you to know, Dear Skinner, that I am so very Thankful that you allowed me & my family to be part of your life and we are much better cats for you being part of ours. You & your family has ALWAYS been in our purrrrs and we are purrring extra hard for your family now.

Veteran's Day!

Well. it's been a little while since I've been here in the diary but today is Veteran's Day and my whole family wants to say THANK YOU to the Service men & women, of the past and of the present. I thought it would be fun to give some background info on this date...

While most know that Veterans Day honors those who have served in the military, the meaning behind its exact date (November 11) may not be so familiar. Here's the backstory:

Back in 1918, in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, a stop to hostilities was declared, ending World War I. An armistice to cease the fighting on the Western Front was signed by the Allied powers and Germany.

President Woodrow Wilson immediately proclaimed the day "Armistice Day," kicking off the annual commemoration on November 11. But over the years, with veterans returning from World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day — a day reserved to honor veterans returning from all wars. But 11/11 still represented the end of the Great War in the public's mind, and the date stuck.

In 1921, unidentified dead from the war were buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., Westminster Abbey in London, and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The tradition to honor those killed in the war but never identified continues every year in the U.S. The ceremony is held at 11 a.m. at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

Congress designated Veterans Day as a legal holiday in 1938, and since then, most Americans have come to know it as a day for store sales and parades. (courtesy of Y! BUZZ)

A New Baby...Sort of :)

Hi furriends!! We have a new baby added to our family, tho she's not so much a baby anymore, nor is she new to us since she's been here since before she could eat on here own. Her name is Locita (1056111) and if yous mews would stop by her page and check her out she'd be a very happy little kitten.

A quick update on my brofur Dog, he's been home since late Monday night but he's in very bad shape so if you all would purrr extra hard for him we would ALL appreciate it. Meowmy's going to update his diary in a minute real quick. He has been in the hospital since early Tuesday morning and don't know when he'll get to come home.

As for me, I'm doing very well these days...mostly healthy except for the occasional flare up from the stomititis. I have to take the steriods still but onnly when it falres so bad that i can't eat. So, that's about it for now. Hope all you furs and your humans have a pawsome day!!

Meowday Blessings...

We went to a place on the river that we have never been (meowmy knows some COOL places!! ) Meowmy made us grilled salmon steaks and meat. We got to run around off those annoying harnesses because there were only 4 or 5 ppl around...and a dog.While my brofur Dog mentioned in his diary about a dog at Radium Springs giving him a run for his money, he failed to mention that the dog treed him...mol...meowmy stressed for a minute but the dog's human said he was cat furriendly. Well, he got the dog to let Dog out of the tree. When he did come down he ran again and there goes the dog giving chase so Dog decided to take a hint from me and quit running...the dog went up to him and started poking him in his ribs like he was a squeeky too then puppy slobbered all over him!!! MOL!!! My brofur looked like he had a slobber battle with a St. Bernard...and LOST!!! MOL!!! That wouldn't happen to him if he'd listen and not run...Most dogs like the CHASE more than anything and once the chase is on, well, things progress from there so if that crazy cat would listen!!!

So that was our day and it was a very good one! Now i'd like to dedicate the rest of this space to those who are very important to me and my family and who made a good day even better. That would be all of my furriends here in Catster land! Much love to you all!!!
