Dog's Dilemma's

H1N1 And Us Cats...

This is mostly just an informational entry. For those who don't know already, on Nov 2 a 13 yr old kitty was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus in Iowa. There's reports of it being transmitted to ferrets by humans as well so i had to get meowmy to post this link (below) which gives precautionary measures to keep your pets healthy.

As if humans & pets don't have enough to worry about!! How many animals do you suppose will die from experiments trying to find a vaccine for pets? ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS!!!

Also i wanted to let everyone know how well i slept last night at home. For the most part peaceful but i cried out 3 times in the night. Meowmy thinks i was having nightmares more than pain because i was twitching badly, like i was trying to get away from something. Meowmy's kind of worried about the psychological damage this experience may have caused but you know, she's going to worry about EVERYTHING now!!! She really can be silly sometimes! Meowmy, I CAN'T STREEEEEETTTTTCCCCCCHHHHHH!!! OF COURSE I'M TRAUMATIZED!!! Tell me what cat you know who can't stretch and you'll see a traumatized cat!!! After all, meowmy, how would YOU feel if you couldn't stretch?!?

My sister Scrappy slept with me most of the night under her HL Tranquility Blankie...till I cried out the 2nd time. Guess she figured i fidget too much so she went under meowmy's blankies! Sorry Scraps :) but thanks for comforting me thru the most of the night! Sure is alot of peace & comfort under her blankie :) And my pillow that my beautiful Meatball gave me is very omfortable on my wounds and nice and soft for my surgery incisions :)

So that's about all for now :) I'll be prowling around my groups soon and can't wait to see everybody :)

I'm HOME!!! YAY!!!

Except that I'm waaaayyyyy too worn out to enjoy it *yawn* It's been a very long day for me...I've been poked & prodded & poked some more but it's worth it to be home. I sure missed my furblings! My sisfur Scrappy hasn't left my side since coming in the door about an hour ago so I guess she missed me too. The only thing I know is it feels good to have her snoozing next to me as she is not only my sisfur but also my bestest furriend. Meowmy has my bed made up at the top of her bed by her head so she can hear me if I cry out in the night. She put the special pillow my baby grrrl Meatball sent to me awhile ago and Scrappy said I could use her Hazel Lucy Tranquility Blankie that her furriend Skinner sent to her when she was bad sick. Boy do I feel very privilaged as she don't share that blankie with anybody since Little One healed from her surgery a long time ago!! But she says there's sooo much love in that blankie too that it could only add more healing magic to the already powerful purrrrs of love & healing being sent my way! I still don't have very much energy and I hurt pretty bad still and i'm still not awake more than 3-4 hours a day but with every day that goes by my eyes get clearer & more focused so the vet says it's ok. Meowmy's not going to let me be on too long because I'm very tired and she says I need rest and she wants to spend time with me so I'm going to end this here for now but will be back soon. I just want to say a quick thank you too all my furriends that helped me celepurrate my DDP the other day and of course to all my furriends sending out all those purrrrs of love and healing to me. I love you all!!!

Also, a special note of thanks to Ka-zar who was kind enough to explain to me about PAWS (not to mention all the wonderpurrrful words of encouragement) and for the PAWS furs, I am very grateful to you all as well and would be very honored if you would allow me to join your group when I'm well.

A Diary Pick Again!!!

Wowwz!! Thank you diary gal & all my pawrific furriends! Sure appreciate the honor :) of being a pick again!

Hey guys & gals...I managed to stay awake for a whole 45 minutes today!!! Of course I've been sound asleep for the last 3-1/2 hours straight, but what the cat? At least I was able to see my meowmy for more than a couple minutes!!! And MEOW to these stupid badages!!! I don't think I'll ever remember what a good loooonnnggggg stretch is by the time this is over! In fact, I think my leg is gonna stay bound this way forever if they don't take these stupid wraps off me!!! DOC, YO DOC...YOU HEAR THAT??? I'M STIFF, MEOW!!!

Well, the good thing is that the techs have been teaching meowmy how to clean my boo boo's and bind me up so i can't stretch...i bet if i schmooze meowmy real nice she'll let me at least stretch a little bit...nah, probably not!!! She's a stickler for following doc's orders, which can be soooo meowy irritating!!! But in 2 weeks meowmy will be able to do physical therapy with me, they're going to teach her that too so she can do it at home so i won't have to be transported the 24 round-trip miles 3 to 4 times a week. That will be very nice since i'm already tired of seeing this place....I KNOW, my fault for running away but i won't be doing that again especially since my Meatball said she's locking me in our Hello Kitty house & putting bars on the windows so I CAN"T get out!!! MOL!!! Boy do I LOVES that Grrrrl!!!
