   Leave a treat for Vita

Pixie, Pretty Kitty, Princess.

January 1st 1999

Affection, sunbathing, other kitties, sardines, cat nip (she's a lightweight! MOL!), and making biscuits.

Dogs! It's unfortunate that she lives with such a large pack but she keeps all them in check!

Favorite Toy:
Anything with catnip! It makes her even more crazy than most kitties. She's a lightweight! MOL!

Favorite Nap Spot:
Any sunny spot.

Favorite Food:

She gives kisses!

Arrival Story:
Vita was chosen after many trips to Town Lake Animal Shelter. There were so many lovely kitties to chose from every visit but I immediately knew Vita was "the one." She was in a metal cage, "making biscuits" on her bed. So small with a pure white coat, big bright gold eyes, and a pink nose. She reminded me of a pixie fairy. We inquired with the shelter staff about adopting her and were informed that she had just been surrendered...with five kittens, only three weeks old. The shelter staff also explained that, if a foster home wasn't located for the whole family, all of them would be euthanized since the kittens weren't old enough for adoption and the shelter did not have the space or resources to rear them. We brought all of them home but ultimately found forever families for all of the kittens.
