Favorite Nap Spot: On the foot of my bed towards the right. He also loves stretching out across the floor under a sunbeam.
Favorite Food: EVERYTHING. His favorites are chicken, beef, sushi, and anything I'm eating (including my cold cereal!)
Skills: I've been training him in agility since he was very young, and he can go through a course like a dog (but don't tell him that!) if I have some chicken handy. He also knows a few fun tricks like roll-over and high-five.

Arrival Story: Quetzal was a nine week kitten when I first saw him. I had gone to a no-kill rescue organization called Forgotten Felines to look at three different cats, but when I saw Quetzal and I held him, he started playing with my hair with his little paws. I absolutely fell in love. I ended up adopting only one of the three that I had planned, and adopted Quetzal along with him. Quetzal's mom was a purebred Abyssinian (who was adopted from the shelter prior to him) and his dad is anyone's guess MOL.
Bio: Quetzal means more to me than I ever imagined a cat could. He is truly the light of my life. He has gotten me through m0re hardships than I can say. He has that special ability that some cats have to detect exactly when I need some comforting or attention and when I would rather be left alone (which is rarely). He is extremely intelligent and I've managed to train him several tricks including high five, roll-over, and spin, and to jump over obstacles and through tunnels. He is smarter than any dog that I've ever trained! I love my Quetzie boy more than words can express.

You saved me when I was lost.. I was an empty shell 0f a person, my depression and grief so severe I was knocking on death's door daily.. I was teetering on the edge and you pulled me back.. You saved my life.
If it weren't for you, I would not be here today. You were there when I needed you most, when everyone and everything else that I love was gone.. You were there, purring me back from the brink and showing me the unconditional love that I was so craving and so needing.. You were that spark, that light in my life that got me out of bed in the morning and gave me the strength to go on.
Even in my dreams you were there, fighting off my most torturous nightmares with the strength that I wished I could possess.
But you gave me that strength, Quetzal. You gave me a reason to go on, and you showed me that I have the strength inside me to get through anything that comes my way.. With y0u by my side and in my heart, I can conquer anything.
Thank you Quetzal. I owe you my life and my happiness. And I will never be able to repay you, but I'm sure going to try. Starting with roast chicken.
