   Leave a treat for Tasha

Tashkeleh; Sweetie Pie

Kitty Complexion:
sleepyvery active
not curiousvery curious
not vocalvery vocal

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-pound cat

She most likes to play with her little "sister," Sammy. She also loves to look out the enclosed front porch at the desert critters; and she loves to lick and chase pieces of ice on the shower floor

She doesn't want to be held unless it is HER idea, and then she is very loving.

Favorite Toy:
Tasha will play with anything.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Her favorite nap spot is, strangely, any hard surface, such as table top or tile floor. She also likes to curl up inside the bottom of a recliner chair. I don't know how she gets in there.

Favorite Food:
She's not too interested in food, and eats whatever is put in her bowl.

She purrs at the drop of a hat. Just look at her, and Tasha will purr. She runs really fast. She has a beautiful white stripe down the center of her back. And she has the longest tail I have ever seen on a cat.

Arrival Story:
We'd been looking for a kitten companion to Hatshe, our 14-year-old cat whose companion had died. We looked and looked, but didn't find just the right kitten until one day when I was wandering through the back room at the Humane Society a little kitten walked right to the front of her cage and meowed at me. I looked back at her beautiful little face and fell in love. I picked her up and she started purring, and that was it.

Tasha is amazingly sweet and smart. Unfortunately Hatshe did not accept her and has been very hostile. Whenever Hatshe hisses, Tasha simply plops down on the floor and waits until Hatshe moves on. She allows Sammy, her little "sister," to lick her tummy as if suckling. She understands the meaning of "no," and obeys. She is very considerate about not scratching or biting. Her job in the house is "litter box manager"--she covers up anything the other cats have missed. She is a really remarkable, loving little cat.
