Arrival Story:
We saw her in a cage at PetCo. She was a real politician..selling herself like crazy. She poked that little paw through the wire of the cage...and licked my fingers when I stuck them in. This was last Friday. It was decided that we just couldn't swing buying her this month...and I know she understood, because she turned her back on us...looked over her shoulder and meowed the saddest meow. I was almost in tears leaving her there. She has such a beautiful face...and I could not stop thinking about her. She is just about Bella's size and age...and would make the perfect playmate. Well, after a little nagging and negotiating, I got the go ahead to apply for adoption. Wow, little did I know that I might as well be adopting a child....questionnaires....case workers...telephone calls....it's even on one of the contracts that we signed that they could drop in on us to check out our home..unannounced. Well...no worries really. We have a great home, and lots of love for this baby. We were approved yesterday...so we went and got her. She was nervous at first, but Bella was thrilled with her. It's appearing at this moment that Holly will be the alpha female. Bella is backing down and being forced to share everything...all her toys...her bed..etc. If she gets too rambunctious she gets slapped down..literally. But Holly is settling in nicely...and we are totally enjoying these two, watching them interact.
