Arrival Story:
Tippy used to hang around my old apartment. Since I'm a sucker for animals, I started feeding her and of course, she hung around more. Then she started letting me pet her and then she started hanging around even more. Well, I was beginning to get attached to the cutie and I felt bad for her because she had a breathing problem. I came to find out that she had an upper respiratory infection. It was a particularly bad and stubborn case. So, with the help of some friends, I got her vetted and started keeping her indoors. It took 6 months to almost completely shake off the URI and she is still a little sickly. However, she was 5 pounds when I got her and now she's 9 pounds, which is much better.

Bio:
Before Tippy came to me, she was "semi-feral". By that I mean that she was never owned by anyone, but was still friendly with people. There was an old woman that lived by the apartment complex where I found Tippy. I met with her and she told me when Tippy was born and that she's been feeding her and her siblings all her life. That explains how she became socialized with people. So basically, Tippy started off with a hard-knock life and now she's a pampered house cat. She was also outgoing with people when I first started keeping her. As she became more of a house cat, she also became more shy. I credit this to the fact that since she doesn't have to beg for food anymore, she can be a bit more discriminating.
