Arrival Story:
It was about 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday at the shelter where I work. A young couple arrived with a half-dead kitten. He'd been found at the local Del Taco restaurant on Yucaipa Blvd. He was extremely dehydrated, and his eyes were stuck shut with infection. We hydrated him immediately in our medical room and washed his little eyes. I took him home, not really expecting him to survive as he was pretty far gone when we got him. I had to syringe feed him and sub-q hydrate him for many days. Along with some antibiotics, some Gentamicin for his eyes, and transfer factor in his food, Del is a healthy boy today. We have decided to keep him since he is the only cat that our cat Majicou seems to like.
