Arrival Story:
See, we were two country girls before mommy saved us! We lived in a barn with the cows and sheep. Mommy had had surgery and was in the hospital. She found out that time was ticking for us and we were running out of time. We needed to be adopted and SOON. She was in the hospital and all she could think about was US! She would ask every day, "am I going home today?" Every day it was "not today". Finally the day came when mommy got out of the hospital. She tells us now that she had hoped for two boys so she could name them Ben and Jerry after the ice cream! Phooey on that! She really shouldn't have but she drove to get us and save us from an early demise. We were teeny tiny little kittens in her carrier and huddled in the back of the carrier. She brought us home and let us get used to our new home in the basement. We arrived the weekend of Hurricane Katrina so mommy watched TV by us while she recovered. We didn't trust her and never came out to visit with her.

Bio:
Because we are girls, mommy didn't have names for us. Mommy asked her friends and patients at work for ideas for names for us. She wanted something catchy. Some other ideas she got were; Thelma and Louise, LaVerne and Shirley, Kit and Kat and many other goofy names. She finally decided on Betty and Wilma. Then came the question of who would be Betty and who would be Wilma. It just so worked out that the first one of us that came out of hiding was Betty and the rest is history............
