hewwoooooooooo 2005! i have been so busy, i'm sorry i haven't checked in sooner. it's just that there is so much to do! i am on a roll with this being sweet thang. i get more attention when i'm nice like this anyway. and you know what THAT means....MORE TREATS! momma thinks i only get one a day, but when Mr. Stephen comes over he gives me another one when she's not lookin'. life is good.

what else. oh! i help out in the kitchen a lot. momma has a pink azelea on the counter and i like to rub my face in it and lick on the decorative foil around the pot. it's yummilicious! i love licking things that have no taste. plastic bags are a favorite of mine.

ruby is still mad at me for all those years i bullied her. i wish she'd get over it! i am ready for some serious sniffing and grooming. too bad she's not interested in anything to do with me. bah humbug.

i gave up my aloofness for good!

the holidays and the cold air and all the warm fuzzies going around make me all lovey-dovey and mamma thinks i'm the cat's meow! and who wouldn't, right? i know i'm cute, and i'm proud of it. yes, it's a little strange that my purrrrrsonality has changed so much in the past year and a half. but i've slowly come to terms with the fact that life ain't so bad, and there's no need to put up a mean front. it's okay to ooze out da love, especially to mamma because she rocks my world!

last night she was reading in bed, and the book was sortta halfway resting on the bed if that makes any sense. well i got a lovin' urge, and i decided to prance on over and curl up on the book so she could pay attention to me. and it worked! at first she made a fuss, but did she move the book out from under me? why NO! of course not: i was laying upside-down and bearing my cute tummy. who could resist?

today when she gets home, i plan on asking for a treat or 2. i hope today's my lucky day!

dear diary,

boy it sure has been awhile since i last checked in. things have been pretty busy this holiday season. i don't know what's happened, but all of a sudden i find myself tunneling under the bed covers and making muffins on momma's tummy. this isn't like me!!! what's going on? also, i noticed my paw pads are always ice cold. i try to avoid the tile floors and found a new spot to take a nap: the red dish towl momma uses to dry dishes on when the sink rack is full. most of the time she shoos me off and i just don't get it. so i keep trying. it sure beats taking a nap on cold tile countertops!!

ruby and i haven't been getting along. she is very defensive when i come near her - even when i have no intention of being mean to her. so she swats at me, and i in turn, bite her.

momma comes home to chewed out fur clumps laying everywhere and she gets mad. i do my best to look innocent; after all - it WAS all ruby's fault.

anyway, other than that things are mousey. momma planetd me some real catnip plants in her herb garden. i still prefer rubbing my face in the chives, but the catnip is a nice change.
