Arrival Story:
Our first kitten, Cleopatra, needed a friend. Hoping to find one about the same age (1 year old), we looked into the various rescue organizations. When the rescue person delivered Lucy, I didn't know whether to laugh or giggle. She was the oddest looking cat I had ever seen. With light blue eyes, a black stripe down her nose, a cream colored patch over one eye, and multicolored fur, she was very different from our black Persian Cleo. However, we decided that to know her would be to love her, and how we love her now. She is the sweetest Tortoiseshell Calico in all of the Tortie kingdom. And, she is a great sister for her little sister, Cleo, being about twice the size and weight. So much to love!
Bio:
We aren't certain as to her real age. We tend to feel that the rescue people just wanted a home for Lucy, so gave her an age that seemed to be what we wanted. We think she's at least a year older than Cleo, which would make her around 7 in people years.

Lucy suffered a Diabetic Crisis on Mothers Day of 2010, and passed away as a result. Cleo and Lucy mourned her as did her huuman family. There is an empty spot on mommy's bed, now. Rest in peace dear friend!
