Pumpkins love Ninjas

To all the vets I've bit before!

Ninja and I took a trip to the vet this week and he gave an amazing performance as the world's most hostile cat. I have to give him credit though, he took it out only on the vet and the assistant, he allowed me to hold him and calm him with only some slight hissing. On the whole a very successful visit, we are all caught up on shots and Ninja now is the proud owner of his very own micro-chip. We came home to celebrate with some chicken and catsip milk. Ninja did not get groggy nor did the chip seem to cause him any discomfort. He went right back to playing rough with daddy and disrupting my reading with love head bumps.

Ninja is now up to three cat trees (four if you count the stairs, which he does). The newest one is the largest yet and has a little house in the middle. A little house that he loves to get in, but will not let me take a picture of him in. I do not believe for one moment that he is getting camera shy, mainly because most of the time he is all about posing for pictures. Nope, he knows I want this picture and this is all about the game. Well Ninja, Mommy will be doing the stalking now! :P

The Search for the Great Pumpkin

Pumpkin rolling season has grinded to a confused halt. This is because of the sudden appearance of the great pumpkin. This giant pumpkin has not yet learned that its main purpose is for a Ninja to roll it across the apartment. Our stealthy cat has climbed, kicked, and catapulted onto the large orange rebel, yet mastery is not in sight. None the less, my bet is still on the cat.

Ninja's big orange toy.

October is near and the pumpkins are here. With them begins the start of the sports season, by which I mean pumpkin rolling. Ninja has started knocking my pie pumpkins off their perches in the kitchen and living room. He rolls them down and then pounces them, which in turn sends them rolling again. His pursuit of this sport seems to know no limits, he will pursue them even in the cabinets. I guess I'll just have to accept that some pumpkins are just meant to be toys.
