Arrival Story:
After going to the local cat shelter a couple of weeks in a row, I came across Buttercup at the last minute. Once I found out what her name was and she started giving me kitty kisses, I knew she was meant to be mine.

Bio:
Buttercup is our first of two polydactal kitties. She is very sweet and lovable. I found out shortly after I got her that she has a weak positive test for feline leukemia. Since 2003 when I got her she has done pretty well. Recently her feline leukemia has become active and she has started losing alot of weight. We took her to the vet this week and they did some bloodwork that came back today showing the leukemia is now more than likely in her bone marrow as she has stopped making red blood cells. If anyone knows anything about feline leukemia please let me know! I am not ready to give up on my wonderful kitty that is such a big part of my life.
