I was born under a trailer house just across the street from a family of humans who oddly, do not mistreat cats as most humans do. I used to have a brother, with almost identical markings, except he was gray where I am yellow. It's been years since I've seen him last. I blame humans and BB guns. The male human who lives in that odd house where cats live without fear says that I appear sad, like I envy the rubdowns the other cats get.... really I enby the companionship. I miss my brother somedays. Before I began to study the "gentle" humans I would sneak into their garage to snitch some food that they apparently left out for the other cats who had mastered them. I used to run like...like...well, like a scalded cat, when the people would walk out the door. I began to come over regularly right after a kid in the trailer court got a BB gun and Baxter disappeared. I have determined that the humans to not intend to harm me because the kid no longer has his pop-gun (confiscated by the cops, after he was turned in by some 'anonymous' citizen). I sometimes let the man get within 25-30 feet of me now, before walking off slowly...with dignity. (I wait patiently now for the other catsto eat in the AM before I dive into the food. They found the humans first after all. I've never had to fight them...I'm too light on her feet.
