Arrival Story:
On a trip down to Winnipeg, Alyssa, a friend of mine and I stopped for gas in Grand Rapids. There was a poster up for free kittens. I couldn't resist. I called the number, and got the address. Apparently there are no street names in Grand rapids because I was told to go to 242 Grand rapids. I was talking to a little kid, so i was not sure where i was going, but when i finally found it, they had six of the cutest babies. I knew Porker was the one for me. Alyssa has Porker's sister named Sherbert. After that the challenge began since we still had a trip all the way to Winnipeg with two frightened kittens only 6 weeks old. We had a lot of fun sneeking them into the hotel room. Everytime we left we looked forward to coming home. I had no idea how big Porker would grow up to be when I named him, but as it turned out, he was definately a PORKER! Hes not fat, but he is my solid little man.

GETTING READY...

The Terrble Dark Box

BOY WAS I MAD AT MY MOM!!! My brothers and I were sound asleep when darn ringing sound went off. That ticked me off since I was in the middle of a dream of me rolling around in a big pile of shredded paper making the biggest mess in the world and no one even cared. But anyways, after that rude awakening, I looked over at my mom who was acting strange and frantic. Next thing I know it, she has my two brothers in the torcher cage that usually means vet. Then I looked over and Russell was coming towards me really quickly. I got scared and ran over to my litter box. Then I realized that wasn’t a good idea because Russell cornered me into the corner of the kitchen, picked me up, and plopped me into this big blue plastic container. Well, I wasn’t going to sit around in a big empty plastic container, so when Russell went to put on the lid, I jumped out and ran away again. This probably wasn’t a good idea since that made my mom and Russell angry. My mom picked me up and said, “don't worry Sweetie it will be okay” and put me back into that darn box. I let Russell put the lid on this time, but then I realized how dark it was in there so I jumped out again. This time when I jumped out I was in the hallway my mom doesn’t let me go into. There was smoke EVERYEHERE! I ran a little down the hall and Russell chased after me. I have never seen fire before, and I saw some flames underneath one of the doors. It scared me so much that I started to run halfway up the wall in the hallway, where Russell grabbed me and put me back into that box. After seeing all that I realized that dark empty plastic container was probably a better place for me. It was very dark and I was tossed around a bit as Russell was carrying me and running down the stairs. Then I could feel the temperature become really cold. It was the same cold that I feel when my mom opens the balcony door. After a while it got a bit warmer because I think we went inside. Too bad I couldn’t see! Then when it was warmer, mom and Russell opened the lid of the container just a bit so I could get some fresh air. We waited there for a while and I could hear my mom’s voice, but a lot of stranger’s voices too. Usually when I'm scared I cry, but this time I didn’t. I think I was beyond scared. I just listened to everything going on around me. I could hear my mom’s voice the whole time so I knew I would be okay. I knew that Russell was sitting on top of the container I was in, so I couldn’t get out, because I could hear his butt rubbing against the lid. I could also see his face a little, directly above me when the lid opened for air. After waiting a while, I got tossed around again in the container, until Russell opened the container and I instantly jumped out and ran behind the couch. I stayed there for three hours because I was so mad at my mom and Russell for putting me through such hell. My mom said sorry and I finally decided to forgive her when she took me into the bedroom by myself so she could spend some time with me because she felt bad. I hope that never happens again!

My Mom's human Aunt is typing for me again. My Mom still doesn't have time to do our typing. :( She is now finished with all her university classes for this term but she is real busy studying for exams. I do like it better that she is not running out to classes any more. On Monday she writes her first exam which is anatomy. Good luck Mom! I better go now and check on her.

My Mom has been very busy going to University these days and hasn't had much time for our Catster pages. It was getting rather embarrassing already because we still had our Halloween pages. Thank catness she has a human Aunt who has come to our rescue! Today our Aunt has given us some nice Christmas backgrounds. I can't wait until my Mom is finished with the last essay she has to write and with all her exams so she will have more time for us. I am a real patient kitty so I can wait. Don't worry because I will be there with her helping her study. Good luck Mom with all your exams!
