Arrival Story:
A college friend's girl cat got out for the night, and apparently found herself a man! She gave birth a couple of months later. I picked up Angela in my palm when she was only three days old, and she rolled on her back, and nudged and rubbed herself in sheer joy. I was amazed and said "I want her when she's old enough" right on the spot. That was over 15 years ago and to this day, she is every bit the sweet cuddly baby she was as a kitten, and more!

Bio:
She's not polydactyl, but does have extra large thumbs on her front paws. They look like catcher's mitts. In August of 2006, Angela had a fibrosarcoma removed from between her shoulders. The tumor had her old microchip embedded into it. Her wonderful vet and I discussed papers written that suggested the old, glass chips were causing cancers in dogs. If the chip had caused this cancer, it could be the first known case of a chip definitively causing cancer in cats. At well over two years since her surgery, I was thinking she was in the clear, but I just noticed a new small lump March 29th '09, that feels suspicious. If it's bad news, I don't know if I'll put her through more surgery, though she seems in good shape for her age otherwise.
