Arrival Story:
I brought Andantina's mom home from the shelter ten days before Andantina and her siblings were born. I happened to wake up at three am to go to the restroom -- and got to witness and help with Andantina's birth! She and her sister Acceleranda were born close to each other, so their mom didn't clean up the first one like she had the earlier kittens - so I helped out. When very young, I couldn't tell Andantina and Acceleranda apart - both were pure white . . . but one retained a long bit of umbilical cord, while the other had a short bit --- in my records I just referred to them as "long cord" and "short cord". . . eventually Acceleranda developed a darker color and more tabby markings on the face. Andantina was lighter-colored and quieter than her sister.
