Arrival Story:
We rescued Lucy Lu from a nearby farm when her owner died and no one was feeding her...she was extremely friendly and came running right up to us! After a visit to the vet for testing, we discovered that she was around 2-3 years old, and very healthy, despite living outdoors for so long. She was very thin, but over time she has returned to a normal weight...she still has a great appetite! Our original intent was to vaccinate and spay her, wait until she was fully healed, then find her a home. Somewhere along the way, we became attached to her, and voila! --she became ours.

Bio:
Lucy Lu is a tiny little petite thing, but mighty in spirit- a fearless little firecracker with a real feisty personality to boot! It was a challenge to adapt Lucy Lu into our household with the other cats...it took a lot of patience and time; several months, to be exact. She insisted on trying to constantly attack our other cats. We believe that she had spent years fending for herself on the farm...she had to re-learn that 1. all cats are not a threat and 2. there's plenty of food available and no need to fight. We were finally successful and now she is part of our happy family!
