I have Pillow Foot!November 18th 2011 6:54 pm[ View A Comments (10) ]
Well, looks like I have Plasma Cell Pododermatitis (Pillow Foot), or plump piggies, just like what Sofie had early last year. My pal Tasha knows alot about this stuff!
I remember when Sofie had plump piggies! Hope your pawsies are back to normal Pixie-size in no time! Fat feet? I'll bet that dog gave you plump pigs! Mommy remembers when Sofie had this too. Hope your plump pillow piggies return to normal really quickly. Yes how very convenient. MOL! Purrzz, Zack and Zoey Hope your feetsies get back to normal. Thanks, Lucy, we remember it was you who led us to Tasha. Yeah, Newman, I probably got them from the dog stepping on me. Oink! Zoey, thanks. Mom was petting my head just when the technician told her I was expressing myself--oops. Thanks, Jez. Awww--I'm sure your little piggies will be back to normal soon just like your sister's deplumped with medicine. Sometimes these weird things happen. After I had an anal abscess, our vet told us that is very rare in cats. Then when my brother Garp had one, our humans were afraid the vet would think our parents weren't taking proper care of us! I guess when you have as many cats as our pawrents do, these things are bound to happen in twos! pixie, soak yur paws in trout oil N it'll take de plumpness outta yur paw pads reely quik like...yur foot will also haza nice after taste when grooming....peace out N rock on; hugs frum de trouterz ! Hope your feet get better soon! :-) Sorry, but I'm a human and don't speak for cats -- they're wiser than I am. However, yesterday my Shadow was diagnosed with "spongy paws" on his front two feet, one of which was infected. He was given a 2-week course of antibiotics and I'm to treat him 3 times daily by infusing the spongy open paw with -- Karo syrup. The sugar causes new, healthy flesh to granulate, just as it does in pressure sores when caring for aging patients. Dr. Mark told me the treatment has even prevented amputation among diabetics. In any case, he said to increase Omega 3 and 6 oils, which can be done with either an expensive prescription or sardines packed in oil, and will prevent the drying and cracking. I love having a vet who takes my low income into account! Oh Pixie, I missed this diary entry... How are your paws doing?? xoxoxo Tasha |
