Arrival Story:
UPDATE: CLEOPATRA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! As a rescuer, back in January, I responded to a Craig's list post from someone who had a "free cat must find home asap" post. While I usually rescue from animal control facilities, after speaking with this family, I new that I was the one meant to rescue Cleo. Her original owner had passed away, and Cleopatra was left to wander the streets for many years, having litter after litter of kittens. Finally, a kind family took Cleopatra in along with a litter of her kittens! She lived with one noisy dog, one of her remaining kittens, and her best friend, a 12 year old girl. At the time the family posted on Craig's list, the single mother of two had to downsize and move out of their rented house. They could no longer care for Cleo, and she was not in the best of shape. She was skinny and emaciated from her years of living on the streets and constant kittens. She also had very bad ear mites and her little ears were raw from her scratching them. The kind family sent her to me with a small donation and the next chapter of Cleo's life began...... Cleopatra is now vaccinated for both rabies and distemper, spayed, negative snaptested, and MICROCHIPPED so that she will never be lost again. Her ears are completely healed and while she is still tiny-framed, she has put on so much weight!

Bio:
Cleopatra is ready to be adopted by a loving and wonderful family. She does not usually interact too much with the other cats in my rescue, and likes to be independent. She LOVES to sit in the windowsill and watch the other cats in my rescue. Also, she would do best in a home with no small children as she likes to do her own thing and not be chased around or constantly picked up. Finally, she does love to get pet on her face and appreciates affection. She is not a cat that will demand it, though.
