I really don't notice the time flying. I know yesterday was my 6th birthday because Catster and my well-trained humans made an extra fuss over me. My directing and dominating skills continue to improve. Only my mother, Emily, will face off with me. Once in a great while, we have a wrestling match that looks like Rockem' Sockem' Robots! I just look at the humans and the rest of the kitties as loyal subjects. Which is Purrfect.

5 YEARS OLD?

Can it be? I am just a kitten at heart. They tell me I am now 5 years old. I have cultivated some great skills. Especially for waking up my human. I am so loud and insistent, I will walk on her head, meow in her ears, whatever it takes to make her get up and feed me breakfast. My favorite dining spot is in the bathtub. I walk around and around my human's feet, meowing, until she puts food in the tub. I know it is there, but I continue to meow until she lifts me into the tub and pets me while I eat. If she stops, I will get out of the tub and make a fuss. Could this have been what the breeder meant when she said I was "needy"? No, I think I am just very clever at getting attention.

I am also a valuable office assistant. I like to be brushed by the human trying to work on the computer. Work? No, pay attention to me. I will reward you with lots of fur on your nice work clothes. Just a little decoration. Oh, and when the phone rings, I think it must be for me! That's why I have to talk extra loud to be heard over my human's voice. If it is a real business call, sometimes I find myself relocated to the hallway. Humph. Fine, then I just hop up into the sunny window seat and keep an eye on the birds.

I have a perch in the front bay window where I wait for my human to come home. My human says it would be nice if I would learn to share and not swat at my fur family. I like to protect EVERYTHING I think is mine. Let's see if I mellow with age......
Happy Birthday to ME!

Wow Catster HQ, thanks for making me a daily diary pick! Check out all the great Scottish Folds on Catster. I'm going to have to burn off all this excitement by chasing jingle balls up and down the hall. I especially like to do this when the humans are sleeping.

Lap Cat

It has been said that I have a "needy" purrsonality. What could that mean? So far, my human says it is about the best thing to have! I talk a lot. I demand to be pet and sleep on my human's lap. Best time is when she is on the computer. Like right now! Sometimes I help type. Sometimes, I try to get a point across when she is talking into that headset thingy. I can be pretty loud.
Actually, my mom, Emily is way funnier in the loud category. When meals are being dished up, she meows like someone is pulling her whiskers! No one here would ever do such a thing! All we get is love, attention and food. But, leave it to Emily to be sure she gets hers first!! That's okay, Mom, we all love you.

Meeeeow!

Wrestle Mania

It's a good thing I came to live in my new home with my real mom, Emily. We like to run, tumble and wrestle each other. It sounds like we are fighting, but we are really having fun. Our furfamily looks at us like we are pretty wild! Emphasis on the WILD!
I am also extremely skilled at removing the pingpong ball from the blue box! It has one hole on top and one on the side. All the kitties like to play with it - I excel at extracting the ball quickly.
For such a delicate looking kitty, I have a BIG DEEP voice. My human thinks I am like the greeting card character, Maxine. I sound cranky even when I am happy and purring. Just adds to my unique qualities.
Gotta go rest up for the next round of wrestling or chasing jingle balls!

My One Voice

To look at me you would never guess what I sound like. I am quite the talker! The funny thing (at least my humans think this is funny) is my voice is very loud and sounds cranky - no matter what. If I am playing, talking in my sleep, telling the human dinner is late or asking to be pet - it all sounds the same. Loud and cranky!

My human does admin work for Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, www.purebredsplus.org . She just heard about an adopter who returned a pretty little shaded silver Persian because she has a voice like mine! LOL, I guess some humans don't like it.

I am also really clever at tripping my human. I walk down the hall in front of her, zig-zagging as we go. If she bumps into me, I meow a few extra words!
