indoors Arrival Story: It started out as curiosity - how do cats travel around the world? What are the rules? Then, day by day, well, she just couldn't wait to see what the other side of the world would be like. Wanderlust? Retired from showing and breeding, in search of a new adventure, Deborah and her mother, Emily, left Waterdew Cattery of Israel, to live in sunny California. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 Forums Motto: Yes, that's my BIG voice!
Can it be? I am just a kitten at heart. They tell me I am now 5 years old. I have cultivated some great skills. Especially for waking up my human. I am so loud and insistent, I will walk on her head, meow in her ears, whatever it takes to make her get up and feed me breakfast. My favorite dining spot is in the bathtub. I walk around and around my human's feet, meowing, until she puts food in the tub. I know it is there, but I continue to meow until she lifts me into the tub and pets me while I eat. If she stops, I will get out of the tub and make a fuss. Could this have been what the breeder meant when she said I was "needy"? No, I think I am just very clever at getting attention.
I am also a valuable office assistant. I like to be brushed by the human trying to work on the computer. Work? No, pay attention to me. I will reward you with lots of fur on your nice work clothes. Just a little decoration. Oh, and when the phone rings, I think it must be for me! That's why I have to talk extra loud to be heard over my human's voice. If it is a real business call, sometimes I find myself relocated to the hallway. Humph. Fine, then I just hop up into the sunny window seat and keep an eye on the birds.
I have a perch in the front bay window where I wait for my human to come home. My human says it would be nice if I would learn to share and not swat at my fur family. I like to protect EVERYTHING I think is mine. Let's see if I mellow with age......
Happy Birthday to ME!
Deborah
Wow Catster HQ, thanks for making me a daily diary pick! Check out all the great Scottish Folds on Catster. I'm going to have to burn off all this excitement by chasing jingle balls up and down the hall. I especially like to do this when the humans are sleeping.
It has been said that I have a "needy" purrsonality. What could that mean? So far, my human says it is about the best thing to have! I talk a lot. I demand to be pet and sleep on my human's lap. Best time is when she is on the computer. Like right now! Sometimes I help type. Sometimes, I try to get a point across when she is talking into that headset thingy. I can be pretty loud.
Actually, my mom, Emily is way funnier in the loud category. When meals are being dished up, she meows like someone is pulling her whiskers! No one here would ever do such a thing! All we get is love, attention and food. But, leave it to Emily to be sure she gets hers first!! That's okay, Mom, we all love you.
