Arrival Story:
We "adopted" Penny from a friend. Penny had a litter of kits and when they grew up they were not very nice to her. The peoples other cats were not nice either- so sadly they let us take her. My DD's cat had just been hit :-( and she was heart broken. It was INSTANT love between these two! Penny is always with her! She would be happy to be a "only" cat but everyone seems to get along OK. Penny si extrememly affectionate and sweet.

Bio:
Penny recently got very sick- the vet said that she was most likely bit by a snake. She has a very high fever from an infection- we have been trying desperately to nurse her back to health. Unfortunately the day before my DD was to leave for Washington DC for 6 weeks of classical ballet training, Penny went blind due to the infection. We are all devestaed and trying to help Penny accimate and still get her well. She seems to have her ups and downs from very sick to doing better- the vet has been with us every step of the way and it is just touch and go right now. She has delt with her blindness well, and can get around the house very well. The other cats, especially Leo the kitten have helped her and are being sweet to her. We hope Penny will be OK and although blind become healthy again.
