Arrival Story:
Went to the shelter to find a small dog. There were tons of kittens and the kids had to hold a lot of them. The grey kitten stood out to me. I picked that one to hold and fell in love immediately! He has huge ears and a very long tail. He relaxed when I held him in my hands on his back and was playing with my fingers. He has one whisker. I decided to take him and then heard the story!.... He was found in a ball in the middle of the road, so small ... his eyes were matted shut and he was torn up so bad nobody could determine its sex. He was named Hope and was fostered and nursed for a long time! The better he got, the more playful he got and soon got the name Gremlin. He got to the point that when he played, he terrorized the others so much they had to separate him. They renamed him again.. Alkita (sp?). When I heard he was such a lovable terror, I named him Taz on the spot! They thought he was neutered but soon realized he wasnt. So, they are having me foster him, and having him neutered at their cost and then I can adopt him. He is such a joy and I have yet to see the terrorizing they mentioned.

Bio:
I asked the person who took care of him when has little to write his story. Here it is: When Taz first walked in the door my heart reached out to him. He was so sick that his eyes were swollen shut with puss, he was so skinny that I could feel every single bone in his body, and he was soaking wet. I honestly didn't think he was going to make it through the night but I didn't want to turn him down. I initially named him Hope in hopes that he would survive. He was so sick that I wasn't even able to sex him at the time due to the fact that his hair was so matted to his behind. As soon as he came in, I immediately put him on a heating pad because he was stone cold. Everyday I would patiently warm fluids for him to keep him hydrated, clean his eyes out so he could see again, medicate him for his cold, and force feed him until he wouldn't allow me to anymore. Each day that went by I hoped that Hope would pull through but I really didn't think he would, but each morning I came back to work he was still here hanging on. It took close to two weeks for him to start eating on his own, walking, and talking, but through it all, he never gave up. After a month of really working on him everyday his energy started building up, and I was able to sex him. I then named him Gremlin because it turned out he was a boy. I named him that because when he was sick he wasn't able to clean himself so as a result he had a bunch of hair missing because it became so matted. Now that he is revived, he has been adopted to a wonderful family that truly appreciates his presence. I will forever remember that kitty cat and hold a special place in my heart for who is now known as Taz.

Ive looked around to find out what kind of cat Taz might be.. I do believe Ive found it!!

Nebelung is a German word meaning "creature of the mist". These cats are judged in Europe on the same standard as a Russian Blue with the exception of their coat, which is mid-length with a dense plumy tail. Most Nebelungs have green eyes, though some are yellow. They usually turn green as the cat matures. Their fur must be "blue" (a term of art for a slightly blue-tinted grey) tipped with silver. The Nebelung is an intelligent cat, which stays playful when they get older.

Beautiful Taz.. As it turns out, he does not fit the name at all. Taz has turned out to be a calm and very friendly little guy! Gets along great with Toby and is not afraid of Tallie. Loves to be held, eats well and has had no accidents outside the litter box. WONDERFUL little kitten!

Has one long whisker and one smaller one beside it. The rest are stubs. Hair is still missing from parts of his tail and the bottom of his feet joints and behind his ears. I was told he is a WHOLE lot better than he used to be.

Hoping to fully adopt him soon and am hoping that we get a copy of his written history.
