The Baby and the Cat

I just thought I would report how I have been taking to the new baby. Mother was a little worried about how Myles and I would get on - I must say, I am enjoying him! I don't ever go in his room, so Mother is happy about that. I prefer to be around the adult humans. Howevever, when Mother is feeding him, I often lay behind his back on the Boppy pillow. That way, I get attention from Mother. And she told Myles that he has his own live fur blanket!

Spending Time with Mother

Last night I was sitting very contentedly with Father while he worked on his lap top. The dogs came to lay by us, and while they weren't bothering me, I don't always like it when they get that close. That was when I noticed Mother sitting all by herself on the other end of the couch, crocheting. I decided to go to see what she was up to.

I say on her lap and watch the yarn go by for a bit, then sat on the arm of the couch. She would stop to pet me here and there, which I very much enjoyed. I almost decided to play with the yarn as it flew by me - Mother said I was looking mighty interested in it, but I never did pounce. I am more of a cuddler than I am playful. Mother thinks I am a lot older than the shelter told her.

It was a lovely evening to have both the pawrents home and the dogs calm.

A Cat with a Cold

It would appear I have a bit of a cold. Nothing serious at all, but I have been sneezing and making odd noises all day, and not eating much. Mother has been watching me carefully and making sure I get plenty of attention. I have also been acting oddly, a little stand-off-ish, which is abnormal.

I am drinking plenty of water and still enjoy my cuddle time, so Mother isn't too worried.
