Arrival Story:
My husband and I decided it was time to get Muffin a kitty-playmate (and someone to help her take on the dog!) So my mom and I dropped by the nearest shelter and looked at some cats. My husband wanted a long-haired one (yay for shedding!) so I picked out this one to hold. She flopped over in my arms and I held her like a baby on her back for 10 minutes...by then I figured she was coming home with me no matter what!

Bio:
Lucy likes to hang out in our bedroom, either on the bed or headboard. She likes to cuddle with anyone, anytime. She can beat up our dog. She is a dainty eater. She sheds A LOT. Lucy has big, gorgeous yellow eyes. She likes to talk a LOT. Being brushed doesn't bother her a bit. She really likes sitting by the open windows and feeling the breeze in her hair. Her meows sometimes sound like bird chirps. She's a snuggle bug!

The Lovely Life of Little Lucy

Such a lovely time of the year!

We just love Christmas at our house. Mother loves putting up the Nativity scene and the Christmas tree. Though this year, there isn't much snow!

This year, my main duty was helping wrap Christmas presents. I showed Ma which bows to use and tried to steal her pen a few times. I think she appreciated the help.

Santa Paws brought our gifts to the animal shelter this year, but our Grandma and kittie cousins gave us plenty of treats to enjoy!

A Picture of Health

I had my yearly exam and shots last week, and it went very well. Father took me and I went into my carrier with no problem. The ride into town was lovely. I do enjoy seeing the fall leaves.

The vet examined me and gave me my shot, and said I was in very good shape. He was very pleased with my weight and teeth. Mother was very pleased, though she forgot to tell Dad to ask Dr. Chip if he could tell better about how old I am, as she suspects I am older than what the shelter thought I was.

Oh, well, it is of no worry. I am happy and healthy, no matter what age!

Feeding Baby

One of my duties in the house is to help Mother feed the baby. I always sat next to Myles while he nursed, and now when he has bottles I sit next to him so he can pet me while he eats. Last night, he woke up around 11:00 PM screaming, so I got up with Motehr and Father to see what was what and if my services were needed.

Indeed they were. Myles was hungry, so Mother sat with him in his glider, and I sat with them while he ate. He fell asleep right after that, and we all went back to bed. Mother said she must have cursed herself yesterday, as she was talking to someone and told them how Myles always sleeps through the night. She must have forgotten to knock on wood!
