Arrival Story:
I had just come into the Animal Hospital to pick up my three young kitties (born to me by two strays babes Bill and Desi),(I didn't know that kitties could concieve at 5 months, I do now!) and there walked in a lady. The lady placed a very self possesed young cat on the counter by the door , spoke a word to the vet tech and walked out. It was love at first sight. I walked over talked to him, hugged him and that was it. I asked for him to be tested for FLV, and if he was clear to neuter him and I'd pick him up when he was ready. I took him into the exam room and he was a real sweetie with me. The doctor had ordered up a blood test and when to two, two! vet techs put the kitty size tounrniquet on his little elbow you could hear him screaming all over the hallways. I've been in love ever since. Bill , Helmut, and Schatz sleep together and pretty much get along fine. Desi is missed, she passed away seven years ago. Her son Helmut is still with us, and her other two kittens were given a home on a farm.

Schatz is the most dramatic sleep poser ever. Schatz now has heart disease, thyroid disfunction, and a pancreatic disorder. He takes four medications and still is losing weight, the doctor says everyday is a gift. I've never loved a cat so much. Oh, he just loves his garden visits. Some times of day are better than others. He inspired me to paint cat artwork adoption signs for the local animal shelter. I give pictures of his sleep poses to people for gifts.
