My mother had a suscription to Cat Fancy magazine and I used to enjoy thumbing through the back of the magazine when I visited my parents home. I always admired the Ocicats. I have previously had Siamese cats exclusively and really loved them, but I thought that the next time I would get a cat it would be an Ocicat, so I looked for a cattery in Seattle and found one. Oliver adopted me right away and he's been connected to my hip ever since. He's seen me through some tough times and now he enjoys a house all to himself, but I think he would love a buddy. My wife thinks one cat is more than enough... she's a dog person. Ollie is a little jumpy and shy - always has been. He likes to sleep next to me but first he must (MUST) be on top of me until he's good and ready to circle in for a landing whereupon he will push me towards the center of the bed with all he's got. It's his little ritual he seems to enjoy. He barely tolerates my kids, but if a stranger comes over and doesn't particularly care for cats, Ollie is right there, spit spot (so to speak...) He thoroughly enjoys flopping on my laptop keyboard when he's decided I've spent too much time with it. I've never had him "fixed" as he's never sprayed or otherwise misbehaved in a way that would require it. He's a good boy, always uses his box. He loves to sit in the window and watch all the "Outdoor loser cats" as he calls them. He can't believe they don't have an indoor person to take care of them, but oh well!
